Spuzz Bingo, I remember now. That's who it was. I'm sure it was not his usual work, but it happened. It was Bryant at his shop. I still have to laugh, like I said, there were plenty on FGI who made fun of the "cut and glue"people. To this day I have never had a failure.

meagain I won't go into detail here, but Bryant did sell some crap. And he had to know it was as he had a 'special' on some of it. Oh, but can't call out Bryant on FGI!! migawd, you'd have gotten keelhauled. He was criminal. 'nuff said.

If I weren't drankin' and a bit impatient, I'd have read through this, but I didn't. Is the tip prep gonna be outside the adapter? If so, I'd have to take some fingernail polish and cover it. I'm OCD like that.

LBlack14 Don't think it will be, but if the adapter is a lot different than others, it might. I used the shaft in an adapter. I use a wrap of black electrical tape to hide anything that shows. Looks like a black ferrule that way.

And it will look like black electrical tape and is not durable. I would put a small ferrule on it to hide the abraded area. Also a piece of black heat shrink tubing will work.

Rickochet How much is gonna show? If you don’t have a ferrule, or if they’re already is a ferrule, just take a "C-H" off the tip... won’t make a difference to how the shaft plays.

Did you take into consideration that I might know what I'm talking about, if I had one in play like this all last season? And it was cleaned with soap and water frequently....and I never had to change the tape???

The adapters all have ferrules; adding another will look like shit.

Insert the shaft in the adapter and take a pic. Let's see what we got. Pappy is as good as it gets, when it comes to building, imo. I'm not gonna 2nd guess him, I'm curious. Like I said, I'm OCD when it comes to aesthetics.

Golfworks 24 hr. It's black, 50/50, but you're cleaning it up, so it won't matter.

The cream color epoxy has one part amber and one part white. When mixed it comes out as a cream color. The black has one part black and one amber and comes out almost black. It is a builder's preference. Most clubs will not show either after clean up after assembly. Some prefer the black because it will show less if any. My preference is the cream color because you can visually tell when it is properly mixed. I have used both and both are ok. Your choice.

My preference is 24 hr. shafting epoxy made by the Hardman Corp. Here is a link for an 8 oz. kit 2 - 4oz. bottles from a small golf supplier in Louisville that I have dealt with for years. Decent prices and quick shipping.

Rickochet I take it that Brampton is not the best?
I picked those two options as I am trying to do one stop shopping, and if it all works out, I'll be able to pick it all up tomorrow morning on my way home.
