I see my postman do that a lot. He parks across from my house and while in the comfort of his truck he scans a bunch as delivered before it is actually delivered. Many times I get a notice of package delivered so I go up stairs to snag it before the pirates do and it is not there so I don't know if it was pirates or not delivered until I make more trips up and down the stairs and find it on the porch later.

Walterjn I've also got a shipment of shafts from out there that is lost in the clouds! I got tracing on everything, but no reports back to me ,and it's been a few days now.

I will worry about the payment, you're too nice of a guy to not get paid for that shaft! I know you already have tracing on it, I just want to make sure that you aren't getting screwed on this.

It's looking like I will be able to get the shaft adapter and epoxy this coming Monday. So hopefully a week from Saturday I will be able to take this driver to the range and try it out!

Typhoon I will definitely remember that. This will be the first club I have assembled, and all I have to do is glue the shaft adapter to the shaft.

Real "club builders" don't like to use the term "glue" unless referring to a "cut and glue" guy like me. Although I'm cleaner than most, if I do say so myself. It's called "epoxy". 😉😁

Another thang, some will tell you to use acetone to wipe off excess, I use plain ol' water on a rag or paper towel. It works just fine and I don't have to worry about f-ing up paint, plastic or my finger prints being removed. Oh wait!! That finger print thang, might be a good thang. 😁 Don't let excess, if any, dry or you'll have to heat that shit up to remove it and that can lead to bad thangs.

I use acetone for my golf clubs and save the alcohol for me. 🍻

I don't need finger prints and my nuts only glow in the dark a little bit. 😜

I just use acetone to shine me ferrules. Use the alcohol to clean of the excess epoxy that squirts out around hosel.

Figured Walter might need some help from some of the pros on here so here preps the inside of the adapter, orients it where he wants the shaft writing to be facing etc... Don’t want the first swing to be the head going 150 yards and the ball 65 yards.

It is already gripped, so it's aligned. All he has to do is put the adapter in the head, at the settings he wants, epoxy the shaft in. I doubt at this point he is ready to fool around with any settings of the head. 🤞

You figure right!! I've never done this before. I was thinking adapter should be cleaned with a minimum of denatured alcohol, acetone might be better, MEK takes too long to dry.
Don't want the head going anywhere while the shaft stays in my hands.

You are correct, I got the head because it was a great deal, and lightly used. I like the idea of there being some adjustment, just not all the multiple different weights to adjust to shape the shot.

What makes these shafts so great? Would someone like myself gain yards? I now hit it about 200-215 without any roll on my course. What is the cost?

imo, it's not about yards gained, it's about repeatable performance, even though your swing very well may not be repeatable. 😁Meaning, if you swing to go into the woods, these shafts will give you a much straighter line for doing so. OTOH, if you swing for the middle of the FW, it's where you will end up. They aren't going to wobble and wander all over the place during your swing. A shaft may only gain you yards when it helps you stay in the FW; but your swing will determine most of that. You swing bad, no shaft is going to make the ball come back to the FW, of course.
These are mid bend, medium tip shafts, and very stable, even with the (supposed)4.0 torque. A lot of shafts are described this way, but I've yet to find another that holds the truth. I've only ever had but 1 bad HOF shaft, and still got that sucker. Souvenir.

To me they offer all the perks of the $300 shafts at leas than half the price. Very stable and feel great. Will you gain yards? Maybe... only a fitting will tell you that but it’s worth a gamble because the price is right from Rex.
