What Are Your Favoritie New Generation Wedges?

I have some Cally Rogue X irons inbound and the G wedge is 51°. I usually like my clubs to have the matching wedges but I can't find a Rogue X Sand wedge....

Hard to beat the Ping Glide and Callaway PM grind....tops IMO
the SM8 is a close 3rd but prefer the SM7 to it

I had a Cleveland CBX 56° with a steel shaft. I liked it quite a bit but I just didn't feel like it was "the answer" for me. I thought about getting the CBX2 wedges and before I pulled the trigger to buy a couple, the CBX Full Face wedges came out. I ordered a 56° and a 60°. I've been using them this season and I like them a lot. They're fairly large without being obscene and with grooves covering the whole face of the wedge they still work even when I cut across them so far that I almost miss the face. The only thing that I would do differently if I were buying them again is that I would go with graphite shafts (everything else I use is graphite and I like the feel and lightness of it). The graphite shafts were out of stock when I bought mine so I settled for steel shafts.

Rickochet If I remember, the C Wedge is 42* and the S Wedge is 56*. Like them so much I don't look at others anymore...I also have a backup set just in case. The only change I made was to re-shaft with MCS 75 Blue Crush shafts...Had the steel shaft version of the Cleveland's...

Check Weirfan's post for support. I even have a back up for my 54* S-grind Vokey. Agree. Feel = 😁

Because you asked for versatile.... these from Diamond Tour fit the bill. Can choose from different lofts, 304 stainless is easily bendable and if you want to shore up the grind, 304 will work for that too.

I've played these the last two years and have been totally impressed with performance for a cheaper head. I have a 54 bent to 51 and a 58 bent to 57.

Full disclosure, the spin grooves didn't last long but I am comfortable knowing that is the case. Spin is good enough when the grooves die out. Nothing worse than most wedges we carry.

TheBlade Got the Shadow version a little over a year ago (Spuzz suggested and approved BTW - except perhaps about the shafts, I winged that one🙂) and agree that these are good performers. I have the 54 and 58 degree wedges matched up with the DTG graphite shaft. They've been working great for me in every way I've pushed them. Can't say how they spin compared to others, but they do spin as much as anything I have tried.

I have tried a few DTG wedges and none did much for me. YMMV. I did just find an old black "rip groove" Felon wedge in the bin that is 56.

I had the dg-15 wedges and did not get along with them at all. Not trying to sway you but the chrome mist are much better if you're looking for a cheap alternative.

Digging in the bin today I found a Wishon HM sand wedge that I haven't played much. I like the look at address and the sole grind. I think it is time to try it with a softer flex.
