Hey guys - need the buzzers advice and commentary on something. In my search for a wishon sterling 4 iron, I found a local clubfitter who builds wishon clubs...

If he can get the lie angle right, I guess it could work. Hosel Bore 9 grams, 10 gram Tip Weight - 20 more grams to go. Tungsten powder down the hosel & cork or Lead tape on the back of the head - combo of both?

shokosugi 40 grams is a ton of weight to add. Even if you add in a 9 gram Wishon tungsten weight and a 10 gram tungsten shaft weight, I don’t see where the other 20 grams will come from. Each inch of high density lead tape is only 2 grams. I guess you could use a bunch of the Maltby tungsten stick-on weights.

I saw a couple of Ebay listings that had sets of Sterlings that included 4 Irons, perhaps you could convince them to seperate the 4i from the set. Good Luck with the hunt...

It is hollow....so I wonder if hot melt/other goo could be used. I know there isn't a port so you'd have to make one, but could be a nice solution vs. adding ~ 20g to the hosel.

The weight screw port is wide open into the head, so that weighting one would be easy without putting weight inside the shaft. I've adjusted it for lie angle at least 2 up. It's soft carbon steel but it didn't bend all that easily. It might get to 63 degrees. I would think so. Because of the carbon steel, the interior of the head gets rusty. Goo might not stick as intended. I'd be inclined to use something else for weighting.

It's not the prettiest back side of an iron to look down upon at address. Lot of stuff going on there.

Why wouldn’t you just get another 5 iron and adjust it down a few degrees?

I know I have bought an entire set off of ebay just to get the 4 iron and then sell the 5-gw. But I am stupid like that.

I ended up being out of pocket around $25 for that 4 iron.

Thanks for the feedback gents but I was able to score a 4 iron head from bob sailer golf !
