Yeah I think that would be the way.

The weight screw port is wide open into the head, so that weighting one would be easy without putting weight inside the shaft. I've adjusted it for lie angle at least 2 up. It's soft carbon steel but it didn't bend all that easily. It might get to 63 degrees. I would think so. Because of the carbon steel, the interior of the head gets rusty. Goo might not stick as intended. I'd be inclined to use something else for weighting.
It's not the prettiest back side of an iron to look down upon at address. Lot of stuff going on there.
