Except you're (both) goddamn wrong.
Imagine your scenario plays out.
Now imagine a gas station in a congested area that only has one entrance/exit driveway where everyone is trying to pull up to pumps on the same sides of their vehicles. They'd have to double or triple the amount of "free" space for u turns and turn around/backups so that everyone could get service instead of lines backing up at used pumps.
But yes of course, cry for convenience now without realizing the consequence that your utopian fuel station owner would have to pay for far more land , and hence charge you a lot more at the pump.
