Ynotgolf knew a huey door gunner as well. I believe he did 2 tours, and when he went in he was 6'5" and about 120#s. When the army was done with him he was 250-270. When I met him he was full medical discharge and doing what pleased him while not causing problems for anyone else. He was a pretty cool guy to talk to. He said the worst thing he ever dealt with was being on the ground in a hot lz and having to reload his belt fed 30 cal, said that was about the only time he ever fired his sidearm. More just to keep a few heads down while he was slamming another belt in.
