You were right. It finally moved and arrived at the local p.o. this morning. I guess 5 days was enough resting time.

Told ya so....local tour of all the derecho destruction, I'm assuming.

I mailed a set of irons on August 3 via USPS Priority. The buyer has still not received them. It's "In transit". He's pissed and I'm pissed. What in the hell is going on with the USPS? What should a seller do when the buyer pays for "Priority" shipping and this kind of shit happens?

I've been saying this for weeks. Do NOT use USPS if you expect fast shipping. yes probably 75% of the time USPS may work but what about the 25% shipments that get stuck which are shown here in this thread. Plus I am NOT talking about Amazon USPS Bezos has a different deal IMO. I used FedEx 2 Day from Alpha today will be here Monday from So. Cal. Cost me a few bucks more but worth it.

I started this post July 16 and people complained with me. Maybe you didn't see it in time before trying to ship your stuff?

Keep in mind, Priority has never been a 'guaranteed' deal. It was always stated as '2-3 days'. What will you do, and they do, if it takes 6 days, 10 days, 14 days?.....there is no money back. It's not going to get better. It was stated that things are being put on hold, but the changes in place now...stay in place. Even FedEx now has glitches called "special exceptions", and I'm not sure what that even means, but a recent shipment of mine (outgoing) was delayed for 1 day, for what would have been a 1 day delivery.

I can see some types of small businesses going under with this shipping mess. They cannot get stock, they cannot move product. And no one is going to do anything about any of it. They are doing nothing about anything, anywhere.

Years ago I shipped a package priority 2-3 days and it was a week late. I went to the PO to talk to them. I was told 2 - 3 days is a goal but not a guarantee and that they wouldn't even send a "tracer" out until after 10 business days.

Natpharm Maybe I missed something or the post disappeared or he changed his "name" but I went through this whole thread and don't see a single post from Meagain.

The post didn’t disappear. I was just pointing out a subtle jab by another that if posted by meagain would have gotten a much different response by some.

one would have to be pretty obtuse , or avoiding all media to not understand that USPS is subject to political influence . Postmaster General is under fire and being interrogated. If you are not able to see that some of the issues people are facing with delayed service are related to Govt mandated changes....open your eyes. Politics is very relevant to this issue of delayed service, and after all its a government run facility as is our postal service

Or it could be a work slowdown in reaction to management attempts to streamline.
            Right?

I mean, the political sabotage story fits the conspiracy theory of one side. But the simplest explanation is probably what I just suggested.

I have read that USPS is upside down under a super heavy load to support their retirement system. They are only allocated so much money by congress. With a funding shortage perhaps the new boss is actually trying to cut the loss by making cutbacks. It is too easy for some to call it a political manuever.

              14 days later

Waiting on a putter from Global Golf. 🙁

I purchased a used Jones stand bag on eBay. Before purchasing I asked the seller how he would ship USPS or another way. He said he would do FedEx Ground otherwise USPS. I asked FedEx Ground and purchased it last weekend. Got here from Ohio on Wednesday 3 working days. Going thru Chicago area who knows how long it would have taken USPS.

im in Ohio (same state as golfworks) They ship fedex to me? Is this a option for you?

I am wondering if a full club is the "problem" here. My horror stories have been with complete clubs.

For smaller, lighter stuff, first class USPS seems to work OK.

Just bought a driver head that was shipped from Utah to IL via Priority mail (label said 2 days) on Tuesday, arrived Friday. OK, one extra day but still not on the order of weeks!

colej I would have taken it any way I got it.

I bought some grips from Value Golf this week and they were in the cabinet a day or 2 ago. No problem thru USPS from PA to IL.
