gllama scotts33 I like the 36" length. It helps me see the line better standing more upright. I went to the putting green today and really putted well including long lag putts. I have to stick with this through thick and thin unlike in the past when I would change putters if I had a bad day.
Rickochet gllama I have to stick with this through thick and thin unlike in the past when I would change putters if I had a bad day. OMG, that is GolfBuzz/FGI blasphemy. 🤯
scotts33 gllama I have to stick with this through thick and thin unlike in the past when I would change putters if I had a bad day. +1. Completely agree you will never get it down switching back and forth. Ask me I know. 😀
gllama Rickochet Ha! Don't worry. I really didn't mean it. I need to go out to the garage and do an inventory. At last count: 6 drivers, 7 iron sets, 15+ putters, multiple wedges, 5 golf bags, etc, etc... My wife is a wonderful, understanding woman 😁
DonM I'm still in putting Hell. I am playing tomorrow on a more normal course and am not sure what I will try. A backup putter, I guess. It won't be sidesaddle. With sidesaddle I cannot hit the ball where I am looking. I don't know why and I no longer care. I do well with the normal broomstick method, but I'd have to learn to lag. I have never given it much chance. Maybe it's time.
Par4QC DonM I am playing tomorrow on a more normal course and am not sure what I will try. Go back to the usual and knock them in! It'll happen.
gllama scotts33 You're absolutely right. You need to commit and believe in the style of putting you have chosen. It's hard to do but necessary. Give it 3-6 months at least. Believe in it and you will see results. I just have to believe it and I am going to try to do it, My putting has been horrible so what do I have to lose?
DonM Par4QC I shot 79 with 31 putts. 🙂 🙂 🙂 The course does not have tricky greens, so that is the main difference. I need to get my act together at my own club.
Typhoon Out if putting hell! They cut the practice green so it’s the same speed as the course... which is still slow. Today I hit putts for an hour before I went out for 9. Made sure I stayed still and finally made some putts.
Spuzz Bravopilot not sure how he can get the ball in the hole He can't. He's a mental headcase now and should hit the geezer tour asap where his goofy stroke won't be noticed.

I agree, I’ve always wondered about the gushing everyone did about Phil’s short game. Yes he pulled off some amazing flops but I’ve always thought his putting mostly sucked. Reminds me of Spieth on the greens.
garyt1957 Bravopilot In one of my many putter forays as a horrible putter I saw a guy who was promoting no back swing. You put the club 3" or so behind the ball to start and push it through to the hole. Worked pretty good on the short ones. A little like what Phil is doing but he takes a BS and stops. It may not work but I like guys thinking outside the box and trying new things.
scotts33 garyt1957 You put the club 3" or so behind the ball to start and push it through to the hole. I believe that's illegal as it does not constitute a stroke but if you don't care and aren't playing USGA rules who cares. 1:30 mins.
Par4QC DonM Kinda figured it wasn't 'you'. A couple years ago I played in the tourney I play in every summer, at the same course. I was smokin' that course, til I got on the greens. Still pisses me to think about how slow they were, and I just could not adapt, leaving more than a few 'hangers'. Ended up in 4th, but only a handful of shots from victory. Of course the next year....completely different speed.
Typhoon I keep going back and forth with my Pings but realized I just needed to practice and get the speed figured out. Putting at home was good for the set up but not for speed
