colej sdandrea1 have you ever tried them? When I posted at 4gea there was a guy that raved about them...
brownmoose13 Thanks Guys....Starting to look so I know I will have a few more questions but for right now: Value Golf has the Pinhawk ($34) and the Power Play($20). Opinions on both please. he shoots about 95-100 and below 34* he has hybrids so he is looking to fill in between them and wedges. Therefore at $129 Bang is out of the question. Now on to look at Cobra and Cleveland and see what I can find but I am not sure the lofts on hybrids go that high but I am about to find out.
JeffTilley Tour Edge HL series hybrids are legit and cheaper than most others. I've hit them and they are probably the easiest to hit hybrids I've ever tried.
brownmoose13 unless I missed something Clevland, Cobra and TourEdge do not have hybrids with the high lofts he needs.
sdandrea1 brownmoose13 unless I missed something Clevland, Cobra and TourEdge do not have hybrids with the high lofts he needs. Correct. They do sell all hybrid sets that have the high lofts so you might find them individually on Ebay.
sdandrea1 The Power Play 5000 go all the way to SW. I built and gamed a set a few years back. Soooooo easy and forgiving.
brownmoose13 sdandrea1 I am now sold since the expert has spoken (not to mention the price!!!) Any chance you might know that if a pull is 35 1/2" it will make a 37" club??
sdandrea1 brownmoose13 Any chance you might know that if a pull is 35 1/2" it will make a 37" club?? it all depends on bottom-of-bore-to-ground measurement........and there is no standard, so the answer is "maybe". You can always extend the butt end if the tip trim is correct.
Par4QC Integra had the Sooolong line in hybrids, and iirc, went down to SW. Probably hard to find these days, but they were under $20/head, and nice heads. Although, as with all Integra heads, faces were closed.
brownmoose13 bought the power play heads and rather than mess around he is going to buy new shafts. Thanks for the help
colej brownmoose13 I’ve got a bunch of new FST 90 steel shafts, brand new stiff Miyazaki jinsuko iron shafts.
brownmoose13 Thanks but without asking I know that stiff and steel are at the other end of the spectrum as he will be looking for graphite in either senior or ladies flex
