I find like Rick does the day glo green colored balls are good which is not what one think with grass involved. They tend to stand out well. Problem being that I haven't found a non-matte day glo green. MGS has said that matte balls in wet conditions are very iffy and don't perform well. I tend to believe MGS as they have done their homework and are independent with no axe to grind. I used a greenish metallic Chromax that stands out very well 2 piece 75 compression I think. Got a doz. white Snell MTB-X's today on an equipment trade. See how they do. They rate up there with Pro V1X's even for slower swing speed right up there.

I've been playing Snell's for awhile now and like them. Both the Black and X seem very good. Black feels better IMO, but I probably get a bit more out of the X.

I still like the Srixon QStars and such in the day-glow-green. Don't find many anymore.

Callaway has some that are very similar in color and Titleist does as well now.

I think most every company has them now. I bought a few dozen of the Maxfli green balls and have been disappointed with the performance.

Rickochet I agree if it was the really low compression ones. They were really short off the driver for me. Irons were Ok.

I am red/green color blind and I can't see the red balls for shit. My brother had a dozen of them when he came out last month. I was useless when it came to helping him find them.

I don't buy the matte balls for the matte finish. I buy them for the color. So, why can't they make a shiny ball with the bright colors? I like the Titleist NXT Tour S yellow but a neon color would be nice. Since nobody is making shiny neon balls I would assume that it something in the neon color that prohibits making them shiny.

I think it's just a decision they have made. A neon ball can be made shiny. Hell, you can do that at home with a little polyurethane spray...

Probably so but you might degrade the performance. I have played "recycled" balls for years. I have always heard not to use "refinished" since they have been repainted and performance suffers. Maybe I'll ask my wife if she would shine my balls today. On second thought I may end up with two "shiners" I don't want. 😜

Something I have notice about the Volvik Vivid green is if you use one for serveral rounds without losing it and wash it a bunch of times the color will fade compared to a new one.

The MTB-X seems to be as close as one can get to a Pro V1X. Looking at the data the MGS guys did with a robot one can't argue to try an MTB-X.

scotts33 loved the OG MTB.....still have a dozen or so....I guess the black is the closest replacement to it. Don't sleep on the Black. OG graphics were not the most durable and wore off quickly. Assuming they have fixed that since the initial launch. I see they have added yellow offerings in all lines. Must be doing pretty good as a company!

scotts33 I'd still give the edge to the ProV's, but I think the Snells are excellent and they were $26/dozen shipped when I got mine. I've also had good results with TP5X and Tour B X balls. Snell may be closest to ProV for me. I feel like I can play either ProV1 or Prov1X and also MTB Black or MTB X. With TM I feel like I lose significant driver distance with TP5 compared to TP5X. I have ok swing speed, but probably not enough for some balls.

Maybe. Years ago there were some different color Noodle Ice balls. I actually found the pink ones easy to see. A bud found one that was grape purple and you could see it for squat.

This is an old wives tale. Soft balls are slow balls. Higher compression balls gain distance for ALL swing speeds low to high. See 2019 MGS Ball Test done with robot.
