Ultra boom Shaft

Just thinking how much I liked the feel of that shaft when I had one. Had it in an SMT Encore head and for some reason sold the whole club. Don’t know why....

Description says bend profile similar to the Assassin II......the last version of that shaft had some serious measured toque, if memory serves me correctly. I would not trust a new version Accuflex shaft to be on spec for anything other than weight.

Ode, that was the original description from Accuflex when it first came out. Pro series uses the same descriptions.

I had an Assassin 2 and liked it but it would balloon on me. Thought the UB would have been perfect but it was loose even at 2.8

I have a Tantrum PT X flex coming from Proseries through an EBay auction -- I'm thinking of trying it in a Fourteen Gelong D CT-214 head I have coming, as that was sold at 47"+ stock, so it might work. If not, a cheap experiment.

Played today and used the HOF express. Hit it just as far as the Graphite Design Tour AD iz6 but tightened it up. As usual, I probably have a bunch of shafts that all go the same distance.

Typhoon I used a Penley Stealth 70 today, S flex, 72 gr.. Had it in an Indio 8.5 @ 47 1/2". Thought I was going to drive the green on the 300 yd. 1st hole! Didn't make it that far though. 😂 Nice club.

Par4QC Son stole my Indio. I do have a Shinnecock hiding in the corner of the garage though. Well, not really hiding. More like communing with 8 or 10 other drivers from the old days.

Typhoon Maybe colej and I can strike a deal on an Encore. 😎 I can even order an UltraBoom shaft and have it shipped to him (I stopped building clubs years ago). 👍

The Encore was a great club. Bigger version of The Spectrum.

Next time I’ll take the HZRDUS yellow our to try. It’s the shaft I was fitted for but when I hit it alongside the others on the monitor, it matches up in accuracy but is the shortest. The KK is something I really want to hit.

One of you HAS to put a shaft in the Encore. I was hoping it would have been my 455 successor but I think I got on an Alpha kick and didn’t give it a good enough chance.

Typhoon All of mine are shafted. I have racks, you know? And about 8 bags. 😁

My Encore is shafted with a Grafalloy ProLite @ 46 1/4" right now. Just remembered I have not hit the combo since putting it together last summer. The head looks new, and the shaft is new. I'll take it out next week and see what it's all about.

I have a 8.5 Indio and 9* Encore if anyone interested lmk ... Both in very good condition 😉. P.s. they do not come with the ultra boom shaft🤣
