NEW! Kirkland Signature Four-Piece Urethane Cover - Buy Now!
I actually got back spin off the putter! Slamming the ball past the hole is a thing of the past. Checks up right by the hole as if it were on a string! 3 putts are not possible!
The correcta spin fairway finding feature is off the chain! NEVER miss a fairway again.
And as if that it is not enough... It is a bargain at COSTCO!
Arrived at FL casa this afternoon. KSigs are here! Live demo tomorrow. Expecting HUGE miracles on the course in spite of subsonic's discouraging words.

sdandrea1 Not sure anyone noticed, or maybe they did and they are garbage balls, but Costco also sells the Callaway Hex Soft, 4 doz./$60. Compression is under 70, from what I've read, but that may be too soft even for us.(??)
Just did a quick check and found these may be similar to those Laddie X balls. But, I'm not burnin $60 on balls in late Dec., in NW IL..

I played my first round with a Kirkland ball today....and....shot probably my worst round of golf
in 10 years! I hit all of 2 fairways and 2 GIR while posting a 98, but the good news is I didn't lose a single ball! LOL. I'll chalk it up to not having swung a club in nearly 4 months (since the FGI Open), and also the fact that it was a 7,500 yard course with a 75.3 rating and 140 slope, and the entire course was sopping wet from a storm the other day. I'm obviously not blaming it on the ball, but it was a very disappointing round when I had such high expectations for it.

Compression has a lot to do with feel. 70 compression is not that low. Some golf balls have compression numbers in the mid to upper 30's (Callaway makes one). Pro V's have a compression in the mid 80's. I play Srixon Soft Feel which previous versions had a compression of 73, but the new one's will be a 60 compression.
Some golfers play a higher compression ball in the summer months and a lower compression ball in the winter months. Colder weather does affect the performance of a golf ball. But again, compression is mostly about feel.

A tough way to start the season ! The wonder golf ball did not help ?
The 4 piece tour caliber golf ball is not the right golf ball for seniors in most cases. Save them for a warmer dryer weather or dunk it fast while there is a back order right now. I remembered you had ordered a huge among of the K.S.

OK - just finished 9 holes with the new ball. League competition. This is a very good golf ball. I like the sound, feel, distance and spin. As expected, it feels very soft off the putter face compared to the non-urethane balls I have been playing. It took me 8 holes to get my putting stroke/distance dialed in. This was my first round in 6 weeks and post knee surgery so I am happy with the 42 I shot. No double bogeys and not enough pars.
Bottom line on this ball. It's as good or better than any other ball I play and it is a great value. I can honestly say, I don't see what all the hype is about though. I will not be able to switch back and forth from this ball to my old ones though because of the feel/distance on the greens.

Seniors?? I may feel like a senior some days with my recent back issues, but I'm only 38!
NIce to see a real player review Steve. Glad you like it. After I go through the 200 balls I have I may check into it.
There is talk over at GolfWrx that this ball may hurt the used golf ball companies.
I don't think anyone is claiming that it's a life - changing ball. What makes it special is that it's as good as any ball out there but costs as much as the crap stuff.
If you're already playing a good ball and have a good swing, you'll notice the difference in your wallet, not your game.
