"Industry insider (custom club company founder) told me they are indeed made by Nassau. They are a Taylormade design and patent that they didn't intend on producing, Costco bought it and now it is theirs to do what they want with. So essentially it is TM ball, made by company that makes TM balls but labeled for Costco. Sold at a price that reflects what OEM's could be selling their stuff for if they didn't have ungodly marketing budgets for their stuff. Hopefully it wakes everyone up to not buying based on name."

    So much hoopla over something so insignificant. It is a damn golf ball, not the Death Star. It is white, round and has dimples. It can be lost in the woods or water like every other golf ball. I t will not solve world hunger or bring about world peace. It will not turn a 20 handicap into a 10 or a 10 into a 5.

    Tired of the conspiracy theories, price scalping etc... that are polluting golf forums across the interwebs.

    Repeat after me: It is a ball, many are like it. It is not the ball. It is me.

    Favorite golf ball story: I was playing with a buddy about 10 years ago. He is a great golfer and we were on the second or third hole of a course that was a short, driveable par 4. He did not want to put a precious ProV at risk, so he asked if I had a ball he could use. I reached into the bottom of my bag and came out with a Top Flite 2000 or 9000 something with a big old scuff. A true TOP ROCK. He drives the green and made the putt. The rest was history. He shot his career round (68) with a POS, No Spin, Top Rock. BTW. Next time we played he was using a ProV! :-)

      Par4QC On Dennis and Carl Paulson's show (PGA Radio) Dennis Paulson had heard that the Kirkland was a Taylormade patent that was bought. He mentioned the Nassau factory also. Costco as is known operates on a very low margin. So for example where many products may have a 30% to 40% margin elsewhere, they may operate on a 3% or 4% margin.

      So what I heard Dennis Paulson say may be correct. He also said that since so many of the major brands hold so many patents that it would be hard for someone to come out of the blue to offer a premium golf ball. So the buying of a Taylormade patent makes sense in that regard.

        Those TF Long balls are probably the longest anyone could ever hit; not sure why the WLDC do not use them. They aren't much for slow swingers from the fw though, but off the tee, anyone can gain yardage.

            Remember when they used "Nitro" balls at the Re/Max.....talk about a rock hard ball!

              Things have been so hectic the past several weeks that I didn't get a chance to purchase a Costco club membership in order to be able to order the balls and try them out.

              Judging by the reports of them not being available for longer than a few hours after they restock inventory, I'm kinda glad I didn't sign up. Maybe when the hype and interest dies down I'll reconsider. But I'm not gonna spend the money on a membership just to realize I can't get them at the moment.

              I'm sure they're a great value based on all the reviews, but it's not worth the added hassle given the fact that they can't keep enough on hand to satisfy demand. I guess I'm just not that patient.

              If the price stays, it would definitely be worth the additional 3 bucks for the initial order just to try them out.

                    He's too late. I already grabbed them off your porch. I drove all the way from Sebring to nab them. Oh, I smiled and flipped off your closed circuit camera while I was at it. I don't know if you actually have a camera there. But I didn't want to miss an opportunity to give you the bird!! 😉

                        FYI, don't go buying these new balls, they are not the 4 pc. balls and they will not be in stock again til Spring! Same cost as originally, at that time. I'll check with him again tomorrow eve. as he is supposed to have pics of what they are. They may go on shelves tomorrow though, so beware.

                        Just a heads up, with all the Kirkland signature golf ball hype going on.... they are COMPLETELY out of stock of the 4 piece balls. There will be a filler golf ball same name that will be sold in stores (most stores have them in stock but not on shelves yet) they are different. I haven't been able to see them to know what the difference is but i will find out for sure tomorrow.
                        The 4 piece will be back in stock early spring and should be nationwide and online stores for those that want the real one.
                        I just don't want any of you getting hyped and overpay for the wrong product!

                          I said it would be the 3 piece ball from the same manufacturer, Let's wait and see.
