I don't believe the WRX members are the only ones buying the K.S. golf balls. Even if each one of them bought the previous limit of 10 packs.
It's a golf ball could be selling at twice the price point and still competes with other premium golf balls.
Wow, they are re-sell the K.S. golf balls on the Ebay and Craig's List ? For more than the Costco list price ?
These people will do anything to make a buck, I guess...... Must be hard to make money these days. so much effort for so low a margin. LOL.
I've yet to buy a Costco membership, but undoubtedly will. There's been too much interest in these balls for me to at least not do my own investigation.
I'm gonna wait until the hoopla dies down. Not like I'm playing much golf anyway between now and April.
I regret not buying a pallet of these when they came out. They play as well as any high dollar ball out there and they respond beautifully to higher swing speeds. They also cost the same as a dozen Noodle balls, and less than a 1/3 a box of ProV1s.
I hope they retain the price point, or at least within $5-10 of what they're charging now. I'll play them until my arms start moving a lot slower, and hopefully that's quite a few years off.
From all the numbers off launch monitor this K.S. golf ball should be closer to the Pro V1, For me, during the field test at temperature under 60° F. it felt more like the V1x model.
I drove the Bridgestone B330 a little longer off the tee. It's a higher compression than the K.S. golf ball.
I can't wait to play it again next Spring/Summer when the temperature will be over 65°F with dry fairways.
Perhaps by that time the supply would be back to normal.
Costco is one tough customer to the suppliers. They must be working out a long range deal for this golf ball.
Stopped in today to pick up a few things for the wife and noticed a guy taking pictures of the apples. I joking said to him " what? Not buying just taking pictures ?" He explained to me that he works there and taking pictures before communicating with the supplier. I'm looking at him wondering what's wrong with the Honey Crisp I was about to pick up...... he than explained to me that the "color" of the apple is more green than red so he will ask the supplier to pick the apple a few days later than this batch.... the freshness and the sugar content are all good, just the color of the apple was not picture perfect.....
My goodness, if they can be so picky on Honey Crisp apples, imagine how they negotiate with the supplier of the K.S. golf ball.
I stopped in my COSTCO today and asked about availability. I was told to check back next month, but he was pretty sure they only had them available in spring/summer.
sdandrea1 but he was pretty sure they only had them available in spring/summer.
Darn, and I gave away some of mine to friends for trying out. I gave out a sleeve at a time not just a single golf ball to a handful of my buds.
Only have Uno doz. left...... Oh well, I have other golf balls.
Did you ask about the price in the next Spring/Summer ? I hope Costco iron out a good deal with the supplier. In all expectation, I'm guessing the price will be increased. The matter of the fact is, the price was way too low for the market, hence the supply got snatched up in a blink of an eye.
I hear there is already a line of people camping out at Costco. They just moved the party over from Rogue One last Friday.
Lol and boy will they be disappointed when turned away do to lack of membership......doh
Par4QC "Estimated in stock date December 20, 2016 @ 8:00 AM PST. (Subject to change based on availability). While supplies last."
Limit 2 Per Membership
Yes, and "subject to availability" which means if the Costco reached an extended agreement with the supplier.
Not if the golf balls are rolling off the assembly line.
I suspect there is ( are) other sub-contractors involved in manufacturing, as it's a common practice.... we'll see.
I'm set for golf balls for a couple of years if I need to dig out some old stock in the closet. This is a great deal for the golf balls, not something I'll need to put on the table for dinner.
Happy KSig day everybody!
