NV and VS Proto are only similar in weight & torque(3.5 vs. 3.2). VS Proto, even though it has a bit lower torque, has a higher launch than the NV. So, my guess is the Proto is tip stiff/butt stiff. NV would be tip stiff/butt soft/firm. At least that's the way they felt when I used them, didn't like the Proto....always loved the NV....when I had the swing for it. Classic shaft.
Although it has higher torque, perhaps the Trinity is a better match, in the older line or the NV Blue in the newer line.
