KCee Par4QC We can never play together. That depends. Do you miss left or right or both? I'm like Trump and have all the best misses.
johnnydoom I've gone out twice and played. Other than the cart and the ground I walked on I didn't really need to touch anything that wasn't mine or to get very close to anyone that wasn't my household family that I was playing with. I prepaid online and the tee times were 15 minutes apart. I have not played well, but that is my new normal in that I have not established any routine of practicing and playing regularly in many years. I have enjoyed the time out with my family and (usually) out driving that punk son of mineπ.
Par4QC I'm having trouble finding a course that is following the rules. I just tried to make a reservation at what I thought was the perfect, out of the way course, only to find out I have to go in the clubhouse to sign in and pay. And now with people not working, they are getting a lot of play, so there will be a lot of cooties π on those doors and in the clubhouse. Thinking of my next move. No hurry, it's only been 7 months since I swung a club.
sdandrea1 Par4QC And now with people not working, they are getting a lot of play, so there will be a lot of cooties π on those doors and in the clubhouse. Thinking of my next move This is why I wear a mask into the clubhouse and keep bleach wipes and hand sanitizer in my golf bag.
Typhoon Par4QC For God sakes, wear a mask and gloves when you go in the pro shop to pay. Or wear just a mask and when you exit the pro shop. Grab a wipe and wipe off your hands. I doubt there are people just hanging in the shop. There will be one at a time. They will have wipes or sanitizer to wash off when you leave. Plenty of people are doing this. Thereβs being careful which you do but youβre gonna end up in a rubber room.
KCee sdandrea1 Me too. I have 3-4 masks in my car, rubber gloves, hand sanitizer and wipes. I just need a crossbow and a few other things and I'm also ready for the zombie apocalypse.
mulegolf I've played twice so far before the weather got cold again. I was able to pay by calling in and giving them my credit card info but had to go to a window at the course and sign the receipt for them. Both places let me bring my own cart if I paid the same fee as using their cart. I was happy to do it instead of using their cart that I had no idea how well it had been cleaned. Yup, I played like crap but it felt good to be out there swinging the club again.
Par4QC KCee Actually, I was getting really good last season. My main miss was straight down the fairway. So it seemed. π€£
meagain No need for me to go near the club house. I just walk across the road and play 13, 14,15,2,3,4,5,6. Eight holes and back home again. Or 7,8, 2, 3, 4, 5 6. 7 holes, back home. Or 7,12,13,14 15,2,3,4,5,6. 10 holes. Live directly across from #6 green.
KCee Par4QC We would never even see each other! Plus if I do hit a fairway I'm almost guaranteed to hit the next shot into the woods, or pond, or parking lot or wherever is a really bad place to be.
Par4QC Typhoon You sound like my cousin Tony. When we were growing up, you did not want to go to the river with him. 1st thing he'd say is you need to know how to swim. 2nd thing he'd say was....here ya go!! And with that, he threw your ass in.
Par4QC Typhoon π My cousin Tony was nuts....you think I ever went to that river with him??? btw....he never drowned anyone. And they all learned to swim.
sdandrea1 Rex, go play golf ferkrissakes. It will be good for your mental health. Take precautions, be safe but have some fucking fun! You're welcome. π
LBlack14 Geezus, my bestest buddies are phobes...who knew.ππ Haven't played since July '18. I'd play tomorrow if I thought my knees would make it and I thought I wouldn't kill myself or somebody else. I've been loadin' up for when I can play though.
Rickochet LBlack14 Tour Issue.... literally. Nice looking man sized mask. I keep trying to find a mask that fits my big head and they are all too small. The ear straps pull my ears down like Dopey the dwarf. My wife put some longer straps on one today but it still sucks.
ptjn1201 We were busy at my county course again this afternoon. Since it's a muni, the rules they've suggested for other courses don't seem to apply. We're at standard 9 minute tee times, and everyone has to come into the shop to pay. We have plexiglass to protect us from the customers. We have an entrance and exit door into the clubhouse, but only one door into the pro shop. We have blue tape on the floors to guide people around the shirt racks to keep them about 8 feet from each other. Only four people at a time. It's worked out mostly pretty well, though we've had a few without masks, who we tell to cover their faces with their shirts or jackets. But the starter on the 1st tee is still checking receipts, which annoys some customers. But it's the county, so they're not going to change. We really don't have the capacity to take credit cards over the phone, and that probably won't happen this year. Single rider carts or walking. We're still renting pull carts if people want -- when the handles come back in, we soak them with Mr. Clean.
