Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

After being in a household of sick people, and then being sick myself, I'm finally dragging myself back to the office today. Commuting is such a joy(killer)!

Day 2 of my vacation finds me at a car dealership getting recall work done on my wife's car. If I get out of here at a decent hour I'll be home doing an oil change on my car.

Working some, awaiting news from my brother who is being treated for prostate cancer and now is at the doctor for suspected bladder cancer. CT scan and scope going on now. He said the scope was dreadful…. Poor kid. This afternoon taking Varitek to the vet for a check up, hasn’t been himself the past few days… I doubt that will go well. Working at indoor golf tonite.

Had a good run here for the first 3 weeks of the year anyway.

Long day today in more ways than one.

1st Anniversary of my dad passing. Drove 3 hours to be with mom to help get thru things.

Went to see dad & my brother ( buried side-by-side). Played the song Monsters by James Blunt for dad. Lots of waterworks....

Luckily my oldest son called to see how she was doing. That helped alot.

Stayed and had lunch, then came home....I think I need a drink...

John, Sorry to hear about your brother. Hoping For The Best. Good Luck!

January has been a rough month for more than a few Buzzers. My sister, with no symptoms, had to
have stomach surgery to remove a smallish cancerous tumor. Luckily, the surgeon was able to retain
1/3 of her stomach and her recovery is going as well as could be expected. I saw my hand surgeon and
we decided to have carpal tunnel surgery when I return home in early March.

What next... 😏

Rare day where it appears things are good all around. My brothers issue turns out after a scope and ct scan that it’s side effects from his treatments from prostate cancer showing up now. Still waiting on the ct results but the doctor was pretty confident, so that’s good. He’s had a tough few years, stage 4 prostate cancer, ex wife being found dead and now this. Good to see him catch a break.

Varitek’s check up was good too. Vet thinks he might have had allergies kick up which gave him the excessive reverse sneezes. He gets them but this past weekend was too much. Heart, lungs, temp all good… thank God. Spike gets so worried when Tek is not around too.

Had Argon Laser Trabeculoplasty (ALT) on my left eye today. Had the right eye done last week. This is to reduce internal eye pressure. Taking 9 eye drops per day. Getting old sucks donkey balls.

Today he got his CT scan news, he has to go for an appt on Friday. Dr saw some abnormal tissue on his liver and a cyst on his kidney. Hopefully it’s nothing

Reminds me of one time when I was working in the pro shop, we had a guy come in who was TOTALLY pissed off b/c his cart “drove into the creek!” Turned out he was too lazy to get out and walk along the bank of the creek to find his ball, got careless, and there it was, up to the axles in water! The bank was pretty steep…..he was lucky he wasn’t injured!!
