Rickochet In an effort to avoid the Saturday crowd at Krogers I stopped at a little Sav-A-Lot store for a steak for dinner. They had some rib-eyes that looked good but also had something else that was much cheaper and it was labeled as "Sukarne Rib Eye." It also looked good. For grins I looked up "Sukarne" It says it was a beef product raised and imported from Mexico. Hmmm..... Not knowing anything about the Sukarne I opted for the other rib eye. Anyone have any experience with Sukarne?
Rickochet Typhoon The fact that you bought meat from Sav a Lot is daring enough. We have limited options in my small town. This Sav a lot is very nice, clean as a pin and has been around here for many years. I will trust their food any day over Walmart.
Sneakylong Rickochet I will trust their food any day over Walmart. Do you have a Sam’s Club nearby? Sam’s Club meat is pretty good. But as most big box club member stores they like to sell everything by the gross (huge portions). lol
Typhoon Rickochet The meat at both Walmart and Target look good… but it’s Walmart and Target🙄. Sav a lot around here are dumps in very poor areas. I wouldn’t buy gum there.

The Costco meat is top quality and we usually go there every few months and stock up. We haven't been able to get there and are out of Costco beef. I am going there tomorrow to pick up my new hearing aids and hopefully can do some shopping if the crowd isn't too bad.
Rickochet Bravopilot Thought you loved in the capital? Well, I live in the capital city. It is about 28k. You don't get all of the big city hassles but it doesn't have all of the frills available in the big cities. But, that is OK with me.
