Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

I went for a short walk this morning as my knee has been bothering me. This afternoon I went to the Orthopedic Clinic to have a look at the knee. I have arthritis in the one knee. The doctor gave me some kind of gel injection. Since I have regular Medicare I didn't have to wait for pre-approval.

Just a few minor chores for the rest of the day.

My wife had them a couple times...before the knees had to be replaced(make your plans, btw). Helps tremendously, but only a temp relief, every 6 months, iirc.

Par4QC Yeah, he recommended them every six months. He said I'd probably need a knee replacement at some point, but that's still a ways down the road.

Ha! No....this place is not NEARLY as busy as what you describe at yours. It's on the "wrong side of the tracks,"
so to speak, so real golfers don't usually go there (which I just discovered makes it a great place for me to
practice !! 😂 )

I've been reading about it, after the fact, and it can take a couple of weeks for it to fully take effect. I decided to try it as I haven't had great results with cortisone (in other places) in the past. The stuff I had was called Monovisc.

Spartan Thank you… my thumbs are my big issue. I know people will roll their eyes but I can’t put my hands flat on the ground to do a push up. I can work around it, but Handstand push-ups are impossible now. It affects my grip strength as well.

Can’t wait to hear how it works.

Not rolling my eyes. I had my left thumb joint replaced by pulling a tendon in that same arm and filling
the joint with it. LD and lots of practice pushed that to an end. I need the right one done, but at this
point I'll try to pass on it best as possible. 🤕

Same for me although it's because my right wrist that was shattered in a car accident. I don't have full motion there. I can do pushups on my knuckles. Some days I can get my right hand almost flat or cheat it a bit. Turmeric (and warmer weather) seems to help my arthritis a lot...so does THC, but I don't use that much 😁

Mediation at noon (parties are West coast). Settled it at 1430.

SWMBO and I drove to the new place. Appliances are in, gutters are in, final grade is done. They need to comb the grade to remove the rocks, gravel, sticks, etc., and then lay the sod. It's ahead of schedule.

I've been there at least 4 days/week. I have pointed out plenty of things that need attention and they've been fixed pronto. They were aware of all of them before I mentioned them, so their QC is excellent. They check behind all the subs constantly. Their final QC team comes in next week and they are "corporate". They have no relationship with the on-site superintendent. It's been a real confidence inspiring experience.

Went to Newbury Park barn, got to take a flat tire off the boss man's trailer and take it in for replacement, it'll be done tomorrow. After that I picked out both trailers, his and mine. Needed to be done after last Sunday. Then I started cleaning and greasing the latches on my trailer (well, the one he calls mine anyway). Currently I'm at boss lady's house waiting on some draino to work on the clog that is in the kitchen sink. I'm giving it another 10 minutes before I dump the boiling hot water in and head home...
I'll be back down tomorrow as I'll need to get the tire back to the barn, and more frozen dog food will be showing up at her place..
And it is official, I have 2 years to learn how to hit my driver 300 yards. I better get my ass in gear...

Keep an eye on the weather and when you get a forecasts for high winds in the direction down a long downhill hole in your area schedule your tee time. 🌬

Unless you hit a high ball flight, I don't see the wind helping much, if at all. I play in really windy conditions, for the most part, and I never get help with drives. OTOH, I never get hurt by hitting into the wind either; except with FW clubs.

Par4QC The only drive I ever hit close to 300 yards (it actually went about 295 if the hole yardage listing was correct) was on a level par 5 with a 30mph wind at my back. I intentionally teed the ball up higher and played it a little more forward to hit it high and pulled it off. Got onto a 525 yard hole in two with driver 5 iron about 20 feet past the hole and left the eagle putt hanging on the back edge of the hole after it curled around the high side. 😠 Under normal conditions I don't think I've ever hit a drive much over 275, and those were very few and far between. Between St. Louis and Memphis, I don't think there was a course I played that has a long, all downhill hole. I've played one or two while traveling, but didn't actually manage to hit a great drive when presented with those opportunities.
