My 86 year old mom is back in her condo. Now I begin the project of cleaning it out. She has loads of things and I now have my brothers involved more. My mother also dropped the bombshell, “oh Michael, I am not supposed to drive anymore.” So I am now getting her 99 Oldsmobile Delta 88 ready to sell. Due to proximity, hierarchy (oldest) and working in health care, I am front and center for everything that is going on. I am determined to make her be as safe as I can if she intends to remain living in the condominium. I prefer she get out but she is very resistant. I got Life Alert, My Ride going and am be over there on a regular basis. I see this happen with many of my patients and realize it’s not going to get better in time.
