LBlack14 Typhoon Ask them why they keep fucking with your meds. Leave shit alone. If they left it alone, I feel like shit & I could have a fucking stroke, or worse. My BP has to still be regulated. My heart has new plumbing, have to make adjustments. Don't you have some shit to go scoop? 😉😁👊
fatshot Rickochet The doc is good and has done thousands of these including my wife and several buds so I feel ok about it. I had both eyes done about a year ago. It was a VERY easy procedure, and I was home an hour after I left the operating room.
Rickochet fatshot I had both eyes done about a year ago. It was a VERY easy procedure, and I was home an hour after I left the operating room. Everyone tells me that. I really was doing ok without it until recently. At 74 I was hoping to maybe ride it out and never need it. The doc today explained how they remove the lens and it you wait too late in life when the cataract is "ripe" it is much stiffer and the procedure is much more complicated so I agreed to get er done. He said normally we will do the second eye about 3 weeks after the first.
fatshot Rickochet I don't know about what your doctor told you, but I assume he's right. What I noticed was that when I'd mishit a golf shot to the LEFT, I couldn't see it !! I was always asking "Where'd that go???!!!" So I knew something was going on in there. Had 'em both done within a couple of weeks of each other. A breeze.....
Typhoon Always have shot to scoop. Just seems like you’re ok and then they change something and your BP or something goes up. You’ve been up and around so I figured you felt pretty good for a couple minutes at some point. I’ll stop asking
johnnydoom It takes awhile to get things right. They're trying to balance blood pressure, heart rate, cholesterol and who knows what else. Different folks have different metabolisms and responses, and some of the meds have the potential to cause, rather than reduce inflammation. They'll get the meds dialed in as well as possible, but better to be cautious with many incremental changes than trying to fix it all at once.
Typhoon ode Typhoon when will your course open up so we can start getting some good comedy rolling in😜 Usually between March 17 and April 1.😂😂😂😂😂. As our head pro says after the second week we’re open, “ I didn’t think it was possible, but they’re dumber than last year.”
Bravopilot sdandrea1 SES, would not have expected that or they have free time for this stuff. Interesting.
Walterjn Typhoon well, every time someone builds something "idiot-proof", someone else builds a better idiot to defeat the idiot-proof.... sounds like you're where the build better idiots are based...
mulegolf I'm still in south Texas by South Padre Island. I've only played a couple of rounds of golf so far. It's as windy here as it is at home. Winds have fairly consistently been gusting to 30+ mph. The temps have been pretty good for the most part, around 70° on average with a couple of days in the upper 50's to low 60's. We've also had a couple days in the upper 70's and Tuesday and Wednesday it was 80°. Right now it's 82° but the wind was gusting to 32 mph last time I checked. I don't like playing golf with winds that high. Monday my wife and I walked around the Brownsville, TX. zoo most of the afternoon. It was a kind of a waste of time. A good share of the animals were just sleeping and the only half clean spot in the zoo was the restroom. It doesn't seem like they pick up any trash. Wherever people drop it, that's where it stays. The animals are filthy and it's not their fault. There's a stream that wanders through the zoo that's just green slime with a lot of trash that people throw away floating in it. Tuesday I played golf and ended up playing most of the round with two women. One was from Missouri and was a retired phy. ed. teacher and the other was from somewhere near Winnipeg, Manitoba. They've both been down here since October and have been playing a lot of golf. They both played better than I did.
Walterjn Refinishing some folding chairs for Newbury Park barn's show set up. Before, with flaking varnish and discoloration. After, after scraping everything back down to bare wood, sanding smooth, and spraying with clear gloss enamel. I need to spray a few more coats of clear, then sand any runs smooth. I have also redone the hinges while I was at it. While I was waiting for things to dry a bit, I had the chance to wire wheel one of the 2 spares from 'my' horse trailer, so I could repaint it to the same silver as the truck. I did the silver on the outside, and a gloss black on the inside. Here is the silver after pic.
sdandrea1 Had my 2nd pre-mediation meeting today (prep for tomorrow's showdown) and got freed up at 1:30. Called all 3 of our courses and couldn't get a time before 3. This isn't the sleepy little community we bought into back in 2012. They're still building houses and a few amenities, but NOT courses. It's only going to get worse. We're leaving anyway. #TheVillages
Rickochet sdandrea1 We're leaving anyway. When do you expect to head back north? Sophie is going to miss her little feathered friends. 😞
LBlack14 Finally made it to Glenview and took my buddy some IGA ham salad, savory not sweet. He was out in a bobcat reshaping an old bunker that had been filled in, trying to beat the rain. He never came in until after I left. Talked with the mechanic, Unc Mic, for about an hour, good man. Took a short brisk walk, returned an item to Amazon(Kohls) then to the house. Took another walk and got caught in a downpour. I'm done, for the day.
Typhoon Took the Lexus in so the shop could replace a defective headlight. What sucks is they have to take the bumper off so I have to leave it for the day. I’ll stay home. Did enough in 3 days to more than cover me for the week🤔. The other night I pulled the TM adapter off my HOF Express so I can use it in the G425 LST. Maybe I’ll glue on the new adapter today. It’s raining so that sucks
Par4QC Typhoon What sucks is they have to take the bumper off so I have to leave it for the day. I've done that twice with my Camry. Figured it was as simple as my old '51 Chevy 😄. Had to crawl under the front to take out several bolts; the whole front end has to come off, grille +. About an hour's work. At very low wages.
johnnydoom Typhoon What sucks is they have to take the bumper off so I have to leave it for the day. That does suck. I have a Chevy Equinox that some vandal broke the headlight cover on and found out that I need to remove the bumper (or at least the bumper cover) in order to access the screws to replace the headlight cover. 🤦♂
