Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Best a question answered by our resident doc @rsvman2 but based on my understanding antibiotics are not prescribed for viruses.

Depending on the virus Antivirals could be. I took the antiviral Paxlovid the one time I had C19 and it really helped.

i had a chronic post Covid cough that was a nuisance and was prescribed an inhaler , especially when the forest fire smoke was bad. Not sure it did much

Typhoon I started a cough on 10/25. It's only been the last couple of weeks that it's subsided, although I still have the occasional cough.

I’ve always been a fairly healthy person and if I get sick it doesn’t last long. A couple years back the whole house got sick and I started taking black seed oil. I got over it faster than all of them.

I believe it does work to help shorten the cold or viral infection.

A picture of the range where I hit balls at Orange County National today. This range is where they'll be holding the PGA Merchandise Demo Day in a couple of weeks. It's about 500 yards across with a walking path all the way around. My wife decided to walk around it while I finished hitting balls. If you look REAL close, I'm the guy in the background on the extreme right of the picture, LOL....!!!!

Not a great day. I’ve had a vsc warning light along with the check engine light on for a few days on the Lexus. Figured it was bad gas or an O2 sensor. This afternoon I was going to swing by my mechanic on my way home… early day. Well I’m 2 hours from home and the sort of shakes a couple times on the highway and the engine light flashed. There was a Toyota dealer off the highway so I pulled in there. Figured I’d get stuck trying to drive home.

Well… the good news is it’s nothing major. But it’s 1 pm and they won’t finish until 4:30… so I wait. 4 hours of quiet time!!!

There are 3 coils behind the engine. One was bad and causing misfires that damaged a couple plugs. ( the misfires were the shuddering I could feel). So they’re doing one cool and plugs. He asked about doing the other 2 coils, I said no… plus he only had 2 total🙄. Gonna cost me $1100😒.

I know I need tires too, that might be next week. What’s funny is everytime I look to rejoin my gym I get socked with unexpected bills

Typhoon If you want to feel better, today I got the bill for my oldest daughter's overnight stay in Mass General Brigham and it's over $14K 😱 (that's after insurance agreed to pay $630). I probably told the story here about how my youngest was admitted to the ER there and my oldest went to check on her and also wound up admitted. I still don't have the full bill for the youngest who was there longer.

Our windshield got hit by a stone on the way down to Florida. Been trying to get it fixed for 3 days, no thanks to the
insurance company. My agent assures me that we have both comprehensive and glass coverage, so it will be paid for, but the nearest Safelite store has been telling me that they haven't got verification from the company yet. FINALLY
today, after numerous phone calls, the insurance company got their act together and verified that I am covered......
repair scheduled for tomorrow.......Geez.......😖

Dang what a hassle. My insurance company is USAA. I cracked my windshield changing wiper blades. I got online and filed a claim. Even though it was my boo boo it was covered. They even had a Safelite link on their website to file the claim. It went super quick and I think I was fixed in a couple of days. The Safelite service worked just like their TV ads show. They also have a video on their website on how it works. I was super pleased on the Safelite service and glass optics are perfect. 😜

KCee The usual where you have to chase the insurance company crap. It IS wild to see those bills. I remember back when my youngest had cancer and was in the hospital for a Stem cell replacement and we got bills for over $100,000 ( those were 1999 rates🙄).

With the car, it’s a 2007 Lexus with 98,000 miles. Only thing major we’ve done are brakes so whatever… could be worse. Hate going to the dealership but it’s better than being stuck on the highway 2 hours from home.

Yeah I'm not even sure they submitted it to the insurance company. The bill says Blue Cross paid $630 and we don't have Blue Cross lol. I'm sure I will have a big bill to pay, but hopefully not quite so big......still likely a lot more than a car repair. I am still paying for the stroke my wife had over 6 years ago, her 2 foot surgeries from last year and now she's gearing up for her 3rd foot surgery. At some point I either need to hit the lottery or fake my death and go into hiding.

Hopefully your insurance had a yearly cap. Luckily I was able to get my Medicare thru my former employer where I retired from.

Luckily as well we’ve never had a serious illness requiring massive medical bills. But if we did we have a yearly max out of pocket cap at $1700.

Plenty of horror stories of people going broke over medical bills.

Typhoon Get yourself a code reader. If they are replacing coil packs it's pretty easy to do and and I'm sure you can get them for way cheaper if you look around. A code reader will at least tell you which cylinder is missing....you can swap the coil packs between 2 different cylinders...reset the code and then see if that cylinder is still misfiring or if it moved with the coil pack.
