Caught up on my work this morning, so the wife and I went out to the local goat ranch for 9 holes. All-in-all, considering that I haven't touched a golf club in 6 months, it went ok. The score sucked with a 46. Which is even worse than it looks as par is only 33. But, this course is all bermuda grass, including the greens, and the bermuda has not grown in yet. The greens were basically dirt with sprigs of poa annua and were probably 1.5 on the stimp meter. My putting and chipping both stunk horribly and cost me dearly. My driver and irons, on the other hand, were pretty solid and I did par the last two holes to end the nine by putting my second shot on both of them within 10 feet and two putting. The 3rd par 4, I laced a 5 iron from 170 yards to 15 feet and then 3 putted for bogey. 3 putting was common and one hole even featured 3 pitches as I kept rocketing the ball across the tiny "green".
