I am sitting here enjoying the new furnace I had installed two months ago. Temp and windchill near zero with 6" of snow and roads frozen. I had an appointment at the car dealership yesterday at noon. Forecast called for light snow starting later in the afternoon with about 2" of accumulation. Well, it started about 8am and by the time I had to take my truck out it was several inches deep with everything sticking to the roads. The road dept. got caught with their pants down and did no pre-treating or got the salt trucks ready. Halfway to the dealer I wished I had stayed home. My little Tacoma is light in the ass and does terrible on snow. I struggle to the dealer ship. When I pull in to the dealership the say, "Did you not get our cancellation call? We are closing at noon." I said no. She went to the garage and when she came back she said the techs agreed to stay if you want us to do it. So I said yes, and had the front brake pads replaced and rotors turned in just over a half hour. They had lots of help and two rotor turning machines so they got it done quickly. And she gave me a nice discount to boot. So, off I go to the house creeping along at 25 with assholes whizzing by and one lady right on my ass the whole way and talking on her phone. No salt trucks out yet and the roads are slicker than a lizard's dick. I made it home without any assholes running into me. Why are people so fetchin' stupid? You would think it was the first time they had ever driven on snow. 🤬
