Walterjn Got his permanent cast yesterday. No need for sedation or surgery! YAY. Your x-ray looks way worse then his. His Radius was basically perfectly set, the Ulna had a little bit of offset, but the Doc said since the bones were aligned and mostly straight the should heal just fine.
They did have to turn his hand into the up position to insure the bones were not twisted over one another. That was very painful for him and there were tears, but he was a trooper. He will be in a cast above the elbow with his palm up for 4 weeks, then hopefully be put in a below the elbow cast. The Doc wants to get him released to play again this season if everything heals like it should.
