Walterjn Well, seeing as how some on here don't think I happen to have a job, and that I golf app the time.... Here's what I did today, I watered the arena. It's a bit larger than what most show arenas are by at least a third. Here's the sprinkler I use to water most of it, what I can't get from the two locations I put it in I get to water by hand. Most of the time those locations are by the gate and on the diagonal corner around that oak tree. Sprinkler is about 4" aluminum tube fed by a 2" lay flat hose running about 70-75 psi. Here's the semi-green pasture where I became very familiar with my wedges, the owners have recently decided to till most of that pasture and plant grass. The bright side, I will now have something more than Bermuda grass to practice with... A view of the semi-green pasture from the arena. It normally takes about two hours to water the arena well enough that I will be able to drag it and not have it be bone dry and hard. Fragging the arena with the worn out equipment I currently have available to me takes another hour and a half. After that was done, I went and got a load of shavings, and fueled up for tomorrow's trip to Palo Alto. I'm thinking that yesterday's trip around is going to be about all I'm going to get to do until sometime next week.
LogicalOne Walterjn Cool and very impressive! MUCH more work than what @Par4QC does in a day for sure (seems like all he does is punch his credit card number into golf sites)! SHAME ON REX for saying that you have some sort of made-up/imaginary job and that all you do is golf. 😏
Par4QC LogicalOne 😡I.....am not the one that said that. Remember, I too used to be in that business of horses. I'm sure Walt would agree(maybe), it never really seemed like 'work', by definition.
Typhoon Finish trimming the backyard Drain some water out of the pool because Ida is bring us 3”-5” of rain later and tomorrow. Go to renew my TSA shit Maybe work at indoor golf Slow day… gonna be weird but this cold I have sucks. Gonna have to buy cough medicine.
sdandrea1 Finalized my Ford Maverick XLT order. Now we wait. Hoping for delivery in 2021, but am cautiously pessimistic.
Par4QC sdandrea1 Could get double lucky.....they might put the fan motor in it before coming across the border. 😲
Bravopilot sdandrea1 Read Ford if offering some new paint schemes Ford Rolls Out 'Very Gay' Truck in Response to Homophobic Troll

Rickochet Bravopilot Ford Rolls Out 'Very Gay' Truck in Response to Homophobic Troll Includes extra strong back bumper since it might have a tendency to get hit in the rear alot, 😜
Typhoon Skipped TSA until my cold is gone. Don’t want people freaking out because of the cough. At the pro shop it’s fine… nobody cares if I cough , it’s golf…. I could be bleeding from my eyes and people would still just HAVE to go out.
johnnydoom Working. Looks a last remnant of Ida is about to breeze through in the next few minutes. After that it looks all clear. I think I'll take a break from work and go apply some ferilizer with weed killer in it on the lawn while it's still wet from the rain.
Typhoon After this weekend I won’t have any lessons to do other than junior clinics on weekends and one Mother and daughter that still have a few lessons left. I emailed 4 people last night looking for lessons and called one person today. Now here we go… the guy I called is taking the 4 lesson series, another person just sent me an email to start up the same. I’m happy to get the money but I just have no time to myself anymore.
golf_bhoy On the lookout for a phantom joiner who sneaks into my garden at night and replaces all the painted bits of garden fence with unfinished wood ... once I've nailed him (to the fence probably) I may actually complete the job before winter ...
Sparky We sadly said farewell to my oldest daughter's youth soccer career (and my soccer coaching career as well). 10 years of fun. She still has 2 years of eligibility since she was born in 2004, but she had always played with the 2002-2003 age group. Most of that group has graduated and aged out. Shayna was up for one last season....but there just wasn't enough players, and zero of her good friends, remaining to make a viable team.
Dufferman Rickochet That stinks, Monday I was at the ER with my 11 year old son. He was at football practice and apparently tried to brake his fall with his arm, which instead broke.... Going tomorrow to see an Ortho and hopefully just get a cast. He broke both Ulna and Radius but thankfully not near a growth plate. I have never broken a bone, but was in a cast for a while as a kid. Probably would have just been in a boot for a while if I had the same injury today.
Walterjn Dufferman he might have to have surgery. I broke both radius and ulna and now have 2 plates and 13 screws. Before After... This is about 3 years ago. Hopefully his arm is in better shape than mine was.
Bravopilot Walterjn Did a similar thing way back when playing intramurals softball and had a plate and 6 screws put in (have the plate and screws somewhere). Plus one stuck through the skin, looked worse than it felt. AF said I can only have a waiver for 2 years and keep flying, so had to have it removed against medical advice--arm has never been the same. But chicks dig scars, or so PapaD said.
Walterjn darpar I done good!! Tried talking a pony into his halter, he decided to try running me over. After a quick trip to the end of his area, I let go and landed on my arm on top of something. I never felt it, I never heard it break. I just couldn't move it like I would to open a door. Took 6 Advil and about drove myself to the er. Surgery happened 2 weeks later, I lived on Advil before and after. I still drove horses to and from shows. Drove to Del Mar with 5 two days before surgery, drove back to Del Mar the day after and delivered all 5 to Temecula the day after. I still have the plates and screws in, probably be with me for the rest of my life.
