Installed the Gunstreet wiring kit in the Paul Reed Smith today. Kit has high-end 500k pots and bigger capacitors that control treble bleed. Now, with the Tone Rider humbuckers and the new pots/caps, my quest to get Les Paul tone outa this baby is 99% complete. It's much darker and smoother now. I'm still waiting for the solid brass tremelo block. That will add sustain and complete the transformation. Why not just play your Les Paul, you ask? This PRS is lighter, longer scale, flatter neck, easier to play and now it sounds like I want it to. Les Paul for sale!
