Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Just staying around home today and for the next 2-3 weeks yet. My wife had back surgery this past Tuesday. They
removed the "cage" that she had from a prior fusion and did another fusion nearby. They combine the two with an extended "cage." We had a big scare. While she was in recovery they said that she had been doing fine and the next
thing they knew she was having trouble moving anything on her left side and couldn't talk. If she made any noise at all
it wasn't intelligible. The Dr. called me in the waiting room and when I met him he said he felt she was having a stroke.
They transferred her the main hospital across the street and it was a tense time. After several hours and a MRI and a Cat
Scan they didn't think it was actually a stroke. This made us feel a bit better but we still didn't know why she had the symptoms she had. They finally decided that she had a reaction to the anesthetic she was given before the surgery. Her
dad also had that problem and once didn't wake up for four days after having surgery. She's home now but not feeling
too great yet. She is able to get up out of her chair or bed to go to the bathroom by herself but still doesn't want to eat
much at all. Overall, I'm feeling grateful that it wasn't a stroke and hoping that all goes well the rest of the way to recovery.

mulegolf Jeez, that’s an awful day … very stressful, so sorry! Glad she is home and such a relief it was not a stroke.

Typhoon One winter we left my wife’s Fiero GT sit for the winter and a squirrel or chipmunk moved into the engine bay.

A few years ago Ford had thousands of Super Duty pickups made at the Louisville Plant stored at the Kentucky Speedway about an hour away due to a computer chip shortage. Rumor is that rodents had a picnic on the wiring in the stored vehicles.

Rickochet Yeara ago when I started working for Tropicana they gave me Ford F250 as my company car. They had a bunch of them that were supposed to be diesel engines and used in the orange groves. Well this bunch came with gas engines and they were stuck with them so we got them as our vehicles. They were infested with fire ants because they sat for months outside in the grove. I had to get an exterminator and he took the truck for the weekend. He said it was so bad, he’s never seen anything like it.

Supposed to go to a cookout at noon, but forgot about 'talking about' playing golf today. Jake had made reservations and contacted me last night.

This summers drought did a number on part of my lawn out back. The new sprinkler system brought the rest of it back but I had a few places that get brutal sun so everything was dead and not coming back. I raked it all out and reseeded it this morning. Yesterday and the day before I did some spots out front. Nice to have the sprinkler system so I’m not dragging hoses around. Just went to Starbucks with Spike, maybe visit my parents and then sit outside.

It's too soon for us to reseed yet, but Ive got about 5 areas I need to rake out before we get the aeration, overseed and compost done. Probably do it later this month. I've got irrigation coverage over the whole yard, but some spots just got BAKED.

Finished the kayak launch, except for the foot platform that wasn't in the boxes. Got a get one shipped to us before I mount it to the dock.

Bravopilot Thanks! that’s the lower deck at the pool. Top deck has a big table with a gas fire thing on it, 20’ lighted awning and the grill but we use the lower deck the most.

Super lazy day. Went to Walmart in the morning to get the cat more food. Daughter is on her way back to school for a couple weeks and then will come back for her birthday weekend. Watching The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance on TV. Will be heating up leftover smoked pork shoulder for supper. No more working from home after today - company mandated return to office for everyone. Not looking forward to $30 and 7 hours a week wasted driving back and forth. Don’t know about anyone else, but my productivity will go down. Was starting at 6:00AM and laptop stayed connected all day and night, now it will only be connected between 7:00 - 4:00 every day.

This is asinine. My wife’s company has instituted something similar. My wife’s office is here in Florida. But she has employees who report to her from around the country (California, Texas, Pennsylvania etc.). Some have to drive up to 1 1/2 hours each way to the nearest office.

Absolutely dumbass.
