Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

It was a perfect day for golf today. 78 degrees and a 5 mph wind. It was cloudy when started my round and cleared off by hole 4. Had a very pleasant and relaxing round. I didn't score too good but it was better than I have been playing.

I got my hair cut today. Getting in to get it cut is an adventure today with all of the covid restrictions.

Cloudy, cooler, rainy day today.....cancelled my usual Thursday golf game, but still a welcome change from the heat and humidity we've been having. More of the same on the way though, so this just a brief respite. Mrs. Fatshot wants to drive out to Costco on the other side of town today, so I guess I'll go along with her. Nothing more exciting than that going on here.....

A get off my lawn moment this morning. I check the weather for rain chances and see that we are under a “heat advisory”. Supposed to be a 96 degree high today. Yes the humidity is maxed out, but all-in-all a typical mid-summer day in Memphis. Our daily complaints are now officially designated by the national weather service. Oh well, got to get my cranky geezer self back to work.

Currently cloudy here with some breeze so I am going to finish cleaning out some gutters in preparation for installing gutter guards.

No ladders involved. This old geezer has two bad knees after snapping both quad tendons (at different times) that required surgery. I can vacuum out the second floor gutters with my shop vac. I also have a "grabber" on and extension pole and switch it out with a mirror for inspection. I have a young local contractor ready to do the guard installation.

Handyman showed up today to replace 4 double hung windows - 32 x 66 inches each.

I got some Spotted Cow last year and though it was okay, I thought it was over rated. Maybe it was built up so far by hype that I was expecting everything and just got a decent beer.

Thinking about golfing after work, but it’s 90 and windy....and the wind is hot. Maybe I’ll ‘try’ and go golfing, then sit in the clubhouse and drink beer.

Worked out, went to work... today was idiot day. Every now and then we get a day where nobody can match up the number on the key with the number on the cart... today was one of those days.

Son, DIL, and 2 grandsons coming over to celebrate DIL's birthday today. Got a half bushel of crabs, crab casserole, pan-fried squash and carrot cake. SWMBO rocks in the kitchen!

I'm headed to KC Costco for a hearing test and aid fitting. I was diagnosed with titinitis years ago due to one of my high school/college summer jobs that exposed me to an industrial blower/dryer in the car wash. I've been able to get by for years by focusing on the speaker and a little lip reading and facial expressions. My hearing has slowly deteriorated and now with everyone masking up, the speech is muffled and I can't lean on my crutch.

I went back and found an old thread here on some of your experiences with hearing aids and I deeply appreciate the insight you guys shared.

Been wearing COSTCO hearing aids for 9 years now. Product is solid. It's hit or miss whether or not you get a good audiologist working there. I've had good luck in VA and Florida.
