Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Just finished a workplace dispute mediation. I have 13 hours invested and finally got it resolved. People are trifling sometimes. I still have trouble believing I actually enjoy this.

Just curious, do you do this in a face to face meeting, conference call, zoom meeting on the PC or which format?

Pre-COVID, it was always face-to-face. Now we use ZOOM, WEBEX, or GoogleMeet. Sometimes it's conference call. It depends on the agency. I'm a subcontractor to a boss who has multiple contracts with several U.S. government agencies.

In formal EEO complaints, the attorneys are present. I have to be a real referee in some of those. Informal workplace disputes usually do not have the attorneys. That’s where I get to play marriage counselor. 😉

ALL of them, yes. Sometimes uniformed active duty officers are involved. I've worked with General/Flag officers (O7), GS15 civilians all the way down to wage grade civilians. Human disputes know no rank.

Spent most of my worklife teaching, coaching, leading, supervising, tolerating, influencing, people. The Navy has a pretty extensive mediator training program to learn the process, but it takes the people skills to be effective. I don’t wear the zebra stripes but I am a referee of a sort.

If you look at the top picture, the guy in the background that is sort of behind Dee and at the end of the neck on Nicks guitar can be seen taking video on his cell phone. That guy is Eddie Trunk.

Heading over to work in a few to get some paperwork done. Released to go back to work on Monday, "light duty", for 6 weeks. Whatever that is.
My anxiety level is sky high, serious case of nerves.

LBlack14 When I worked a Pepsi, they wouldn’t allow light duty anymore. They made you stay out until you were 100%. Too many “grey areas” on what is light duty… and if your gonna stand around and do nothing, the company didn’t want you on “their payroll.”

Typhoon I had to have the release submitted twice, the 2nd time with more specifics. It's common sense stuff, no ladders, crawling on hands and knees, no climbing, observe precautions, etc. They were good with the 2nd one so back I go.

Good luck. Didn't you get into a legal pissing contest with your employer? If so I hope your boss doesn't hold a grudge. That could make for a long day. Be careful. Being on light duty it is easy to forget what you are not supposed to do when a task presents itself. Best of luck and I hope things go well. Your wife is also probably glad to get your ass out of the house some. 😜

Yeah, best of luck but I don’t see anything good coming from this. Boss will want you to do something. You’ll say you can’t because of light duty…. But again, good luck. Just being Devils advocate because of the prick employer

Not really, they're (PGA) out of it now, so I'm told. It's actually with Workers Comp.

My boss, the GM and myself are on great terms. They both know and understand what I've been through the past 3 years.
