Walterjn How are those Sennheiser earbuds??
They're pretty decent to be fair, work much better in a Sansa Clipp mp3 player than my laptop, probably because the Sansa is dedicated to music playing unlike a laptop. They can handle high volume (I had to jailbreak the Sansa to overcome volume limitations set by EU regs, now on US - you guys like it LOUD too!) without distortion.
Very comfortable to wear, even for long periods (I can spend hours trawling youtube for potential downloads ...). I also wear them occasionally when dog walking or gym sessions; I have another set somewhere with ear hooks and used to alternate between them. Haven't seen the hooked ones for a while - suspect one of my sons has borrowed them!
Other reason I want headphones rather than earbuds is noise cancellation. With golf_ghirl working at home it gets a bit annoying listening to half a phone conversation and the almost incessant keyboard rattle.
