Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Finished up the pool closing crap...disconnected the filter, pump, salt cell and cleaned everything. Now I'm at work 11-close. Outing today for the Sherriff dept or something cop related. Biggest bunch of obnoxoius Drunken buffoons ever. lets see how many wrecked carts come back in.

Typhoon that is one thing that I have noticed, law enforcement seems to be the biggest collection of drinks, and those who willingly drive after a few beers/ drinks.

Walterjn Well they're really not the smartest bunch either. They tend to be the ones who weren't that bright and just became bullies. And they needed a job where they could continue the high school lifestyle. There are a few normal ones out there but...

Just got my cervical ablation. In the recovery room now. Went well. 8 to 10 weeks before full effect kicks in.

Thanks Paul. Interesting procedure. They strap me on my side on an operating table. Prep my neck for punctures (no incisions). Place a live X-Ray machine over my head that the doc uses to guide the conductors into the right spot. I get a topical anesthesia to kill the puncture pain, but no internal anesthesia yet. Once the conductors are inserted INTO THE NERVE ROOTS that doc had previously targeted with nerve block injections, she sends electrical charges into the nerves to ensure she has the correct ones. THIS SHIT HURT! NOW I get the internal anesthesia injections to numb the insides and they send radio frequency down the conductors (heat) to fry those nerve roots so they sense no pain. This was 90 seconds and did not hurt. Hoping it works!

Dog walk, lunch, and got the goods ready for painting the conservatory ... but the weather was too good to miss, and golf_ghirl needed to blow off some steam after a couple of stressful phone conferences, so 12 holes it was. Too dark to paint when we got done ... one of these days she'll realise we have a few spare lamps in the garage and light the conservatory up so i can work thru the night 🤣 but I'm not telling her. I'd appreciate your co-operation here.

I had checked the oil a bit ago and it was low. Well, in my gnat brain way, lately, I totally forgot about it. Started it up yesterday and got about 5 minutes in, it made a helluva racket and it shut down, then I remembered. I took the dipstick out and she was smokin'. It cranks like a sumbich, but makes a helluva racket and not even close to starting. No oil on the dipstick either. Guess I'll just buy a new one. Need to get rid of this one though, for room. Not looking to sell it, just want somebody who may be able to fix it to have it. Hell, I just filled up the damn tank and everything except the blades are in real good shape. Blades have only been sharpened once, iirc.

Last ditch effort put some Marvel Mystery Oil in the crankcase and keep trying it. I had a 2 stroke leaf blower and weedwacker seize on me and I poured that shit in and it freed it up.

I switched over to TruFuel for my 2 stroke shit now. My tractor came back with some Seafoam … I thought it was dead earlier in the year from shitty fuel.

sdandrea1 You described it better than when I looked it up when you first mentioned going down this path. Ablation is a strange word to me, doesn't sound medical. Glad you are well and the long car ride should be a good test.

On medical things, I assume SWMBO is doing well foot-wise?

Feels great right now although I was told to expect some pain from the procedure. Burning nerve roots must cause some inflammation, right? Maybe the internal anesthesia hasn't worn off yet but doc said it should not be severe and could treat it with ice. Still waiting for that shoe to fall.

Yes on the inflammation, but the sensory nerve is no longer intact to communicate the pressure (pain). The original cause (usually arthritis) for the pain is still there, the procedure just eliminates the nerve’s ability to communicate it to your body. I don’t know (I’m not a doctor or any sort of medical expert), but I suspect that the doc might think the inflammation was widespread enough that you still might feel minor pain from nerves a little more distant from the source. Right now it looks like they did an excellent job pinpointing the right nerve(s). Eventually the cause might spread or a new nerve path might be established, but here’s hoping you’ll get several years of effective pain relief🥂

Exactly. Feeling great today. No post-op pain. Hoping for a few years off of the chronic pain, spasms, headaches. Thanks!

The arthritis of course remains and that joint is and will remain immobile. I can turn my head without pain now, but can't turn it any further than before.
