FauxAmish I have found that most people are more comfortable allowing me to do some things my way if they think I'm dumber than them. Just like when I make something that makes my life easier and they ask me, 'How did you think up with that amazing thing, I never would have' And I tell them that I'm lazier than they are and that is how I came up with it; people are much happier with that answer that if I were to tell them, ' that's because I'm smarter than you are'. I really don't care what 90% of the world thinks of me, just a few close good friends.
Besides, if people think I'm some damn genius, they will come to me to fix their problems and not bother paying me for the solutions. If they think I'm a dummy, they will fix it their own way, and then I'll have to fix it properly later when they aren't paying attention. 😉
