Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Alarm clock set for 4am, if I ever get to sleep. Heading north around 6-6:30am, with Payton, for 2 games in Reynoldsburg in the OGBR Crystal Ball 🏀 Showcase @ 9 & 11:30.

I get to run back to San Juan Capistrano in the morning and pick up two of the five I dropped off earlier this week. They are supposed to be done by 10. I hope to be down there about 10:30-11.

Playing in a scramble today. For a number of reasons this will be the first time I’ve hit a golf ball (let alone play) in over 8 months. I told them not to expect much, other than some comic relief to keep everyone loose. It’ll be interesting.

Played better than expected. Not good, but ok. We didn’t score as well as hoped (-7), but had a good time. I birdied the last hole myself, so it ended on a high note.

They dig up holes in my field and also dig under my shed. There are so many holes under it, it's a wonder it doesn't sink. Plus my dog sees them and goes nuts. There is a reason they are called varmints.

Playing in a charity scramble tournament today. I only play in one of these a year....proceeds go to the Athletic Boosters club for a local school district where a buddy of mine was the head football coach. Will be riding, of course, one of the few times I ride all year.....actually I thankful for that, b/c it's going to be in the 90's and very humid today.
Oh yes....chance of thunderstorms about the time we'll be finishing up.....!

Going over to where our new home is being built. We only have less than 4 weeks before we can move in if they stay on schedule. They painted the inside this week and are putting in a garage door, carpeting and kitchen stuff. Talked to a fence company about building a fence around the property. They came in with $13,000+ for it. That took us by surprise we knew that prices are sky high right now, but seemed all the way to the moon prices. Getting excited about finally moving in after almost 10 1/2 months living in a rental house.

Finished sanding the strat body. Added 1st coat of stain. Gonna have a "worn" look due to imperfections in the cheap ass Squier body. I may have to paint it or go with the "all beat up from years of playing in biker bars" look.

Hit it with some chains, etc. and give it that look then multiple coats of stain & satin finish. Cool.

2 victories for the girls today, 44-24 the 1st game, Pay had 8. Didn't get a pic of the scoreboard as they made us switch courts with 4 minutes to go. So humid that when they kicked on the AC, condensation started forming on the court and 1 girl got hurt.

Almost identical score for the 2nd game, Pay had 6. They only took 10 up there, 3 sophomores and 7 juniors, no bigs. These girls are gonna be fun to watch the next 2 years. Missing were 6'6", 6'2" & 5'11". Every one of these girls can play, top to bottom.

Local city park had a classic car show and so I went up there with the wife and daughter for a couple of hours. Summer has arrived with a good walk, a good sweat, and then a good meal of chicken and spinach at Mis Pueblos.

I don’t have a good eye for, or knowledge of cars. Lots of them (about 75 total) were beautiful, nothing really extraordinary. Memorable to me was a late 50’s ‘vette, a pair of early 30’s Fords, a good representation of 60’s muscle cars, and many sedans and pickups (mostly Chevy) from the 50’s and 60’s.
