Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

where I previously worked. Gonna take a very low score today to win. 🏌

I'm crawling out of bed, getting coffee and food, then off to the barn to get one horse ready to go to Newbury Park for new shoes. Ahh the joys of horse maintenance...

Feeling a bit better today from the 2nd Covid vaccine shot that’s for sure! Waiting for my blood work to come back and tests to be scheduled for my other fun stuff. Otherwise, I did sell my complete Honma set I had for sale to a local guy, who will be picking it up in the morning. He had never heard of Honma before but I guess I convinced him. Lol 🙂 Also sold my two TA1 hybrids, so I’m thinning out my family. 😆

Took the Strat apart. Stripping the finish. If the grain looks OK, I'm gonna stain and seal. If not, I'll paint it.

Not long in from night time dog walk, around the course until 11pm and still enough light for him to chase a tennis ball.

Usual daily walk, a round about route that "bottoms" out at Arria, a 10 metre statue

I say "bottoms" out because this is as far as we can go in that direction, next stop is the M80 motorway between Glasgow and Stirling

I’ve been to Stirling 2 times. My wife’s work has a office over there. She’s had to go over a couple times to manage the office. I tag along just to Golf 😃

colej That's a cool deal for you, there are some nice courses around there - Braehead, Alloa Schawpark, Dunblane, Stirling. Also a quirky little 9 hole track in Bridge of Allan. Let me know if you're heading this way again and I'll take you round my place, Dullatur, about 15 miles south of Stirling, or if you need a playing partner for elsewhere. Been a long while since I met up with any FGIers (yes, FGIers, it was so long ago!).

I’ve played the stirling course, dunblane, falkirk, gleneagles, glenbervie, and the old course at St Andrews. I just hopped on the train to the courses except for St Andrews. We took a car up there and stayed overnight.

We saw the Falkirk wheel, saw the memorial to William Wallace, walked around St Andrews cathedral. Walked around Stirling castle. We’ve had a great time when we have been over there.

colej Wallace Monument and Stirling Castle could both be seen from my office. If you played Stirling, there's a cute little par 3 with a good view of the motorway; across from that is a huge office campus, Prudential - that's where I worked for 21 years.

Played all of the courses you've listed (assuming it was Falkirk Tryst and not Carmuirs) and the Old Course. It's on my bucket list but finding time is hard with golf_ghirl still working, although we've played the Fairmont courses a few times (4 day honeymoon at the Fairmont hotel back in the day ...).

golf_bhoy I was in your neighborhood in 2007. Wife & I stayed in a cottage near Aberfeldy for a week. Golfed the nearby 9 hole courses at Killin and at Kenmore. Planned to play at Dunkeld & Birnam, but too much rain that day. So we did a day trip swing to Scone Palace, lunch in Auchterarder, on to Doune Castle, Sterling Castle and finished the day driving around Loch Lomond & back to Aberfeldy with a stop in Killin for supper. Went to St. Andrews on a Sunday - walked the Old Course & the cathedral ruins - wonderful little town! Also toured a bit to the north - to Pitlochry & around Loch Tummel. Loved our stay & hope to return someday.

d5n03 lunch in Auchterarder

Played there year before last and went to local chippy for a takeaway ... OMG, I've never tasted steak pie and chips like it in my life. Melt in the mouth stuff, need to go there again now covid restrictions are easing. There's a back road from Auchterarder to Gleneagles that comes out near the practice ground and 18th fairway on the PGA course, parked up there to eat and watch a couple of groups playing up #18. Had to move the car due to loose shots from the practice ground threatening the car ... 🤣

Today was dog walking & golf (these are not always compatible ...).
