Walterjn You're right Walter, my apologies, it was sdandrea1 who said "Tread carefully Walter. You're too young for this thread. Father Time might be cruel to you.". Reading that last part again it looks some kind of veiled threat or subtle curse, maybe he's to blame for your injury?
Anyhoo ... early start today, over to the golf club with some other volunteers for a work party, dropping soil, sand and seed in divots. Nice day for it with no wind and decent temps although it was heating up towards the end as the haze broke and the sun came out.
Course was quiet but we had to take cover for a couple of games, although on par 4 #13 hole (~ 350/360 from the yellow tees) we didn't need to take cover, guy hit his tee shot way over our heads (we were stood 250-260 from the tee) to a spot many are happy to play their 2nd shot to. Had to be at least 300, probably more. Guy who hit it is a former professional footballer (soccer player), about 6'4" and looks like he could still play at a decent level.
Just had lunch, watching Euro Tour Porsche European Open final round (it was a Saturday-Monday 54 hole event due to covid restrictions), while waiting for my back and legs to recover so I can walk the dog. Won't be a long one, bit hot for him just now, he'll get a run out on the golf course tonight when it's cooled down.
