ode Slept in. Cleaned a little around the house. Golf with some friends. Made some pasta with tomato sauce with a little cream, curry, and some jalapeno brats, and now a Kringle Monster!
Dufferman Drove down to the river and did a little fishing. Caught a couple blue cats and a couple drum. Got a little sun on probably the only sunny day of the week as the forecast is rain, rain, and more rain.
Walterjn Play golf with a buddy this afternoon, after watering the arena. After golf, I prepped the truck to head to Novato to pick up horses, a passenger and head to San Juan Capistrano tomorrow. Gonna be a long day tomorrow... Hopefully I can listen to the tournament tomorrow for a while, at least until I get my passenger.
LBlack14 Prepped, sanded and 1st coat on a 7w I'm re-painting. Yesterday/Saturday. Today the wife's putting me to work. Trimming back, removing honeysuckle and trimming some trees. Also either repairing or replacing a frost free faucet.

LBlack14 I cut the yard, trimmed, blew everything off and started in on the honeysuckle. Got a bunch cut and hauled to the road, but had to quit. I was hurting, bad. There's still a mess laying back there. I'll attempt it tomorrow, if it doesn't rain. C'MON RAIN!!! 😟🤬 After my pill kicked in, I went out and put a 2nd coat on this thang. Gonna buff the tape lines in the sight line with a small dremel buffer. Then a couple coats of clear to shine it up some....I hope.
Walterjn Heading home and going to sleep. Drug the 2 horse up to Novato yesterday. Growled at the boss for not being reachable so I can ask questions, and got told off for that so we butted heads for a while. Took 2 from Novato to San Juan Capistrano, got there just after midnight. Took an hour and a half long nap and headed home. Just dropped off the trailer and heading to bed as soon as I get there.
Sparky Spartan My company (NuScale Power) is hiring. Also look at Kairos Power. Both of these are small modular reactor designers more focused on design rather than plant operation until plants are built. There is another one called X Energy I think, but I am not real familiar with them. The big fuel manufacturers (Westinghouse, Framamtome, GE) are always looking to replace retiring workers. The utilities are up and down on hiring these days. Those are just a matter of looking frequently and hoping things open up.

johnnydoom Got my nose pressed against the window and thinking how unfair it is that my wife and son are heading to the golf course while I have to stay home for work and attend online meetings. I feel like a child again, but in a bad and envious way.
