Had an estimate done on replacing my well pump and water tank. Happy to learn that the well pump is fine and doesn't need replacing, despite being 21 years old. But the tech who services my filtration system (which he installed in my house 21 years ago) suggested upgrading to a bigger tank, which will require some water line refitting.
There's a lot of acid in our well water, which the filtration system helps manage, but it does a number on the copper water lines, and he suggested refitting with PVC.
He's coming out next week to do the work, said that would resolve my water pressure problems and preserve the life of my well pump (not having it turn on/off so much). Not inexpensive, but a lot cheaper than having to add another pump replacement in with everything else.
The joys of owning a home!
