Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

I was supposed to play golf this coming Saturday but it looks like my round is going to be SNOWED out. That's right, a round in AZ is going to not be played do to snow.

I am dropping my son off with grandma and grandpa in Payson AZ and I booked an afternoon round at the local muni. When I booked it the temps were supposed to be in the middle 50's. Now the forecast is calling for a high temp of 38° with snow and rain. Oh well.

Typical first nice day of the year and the people are at the range like you get a free rub and tug with the purchase of a large bucket. There linee up 2-3 deep. Yesterday we went through 4000 balls!

This morning we were back down there picking with shag bags again. Gonna do it every day this week. Range and course are still covered in snow🙄. I was going to hit balls but I remembered the amount of people being the reason I never go this early in the season.

Weirfan No need to eat indoors. We’re not big "“I gotta go out to eat" people anyway but I didn’t miss indoor dining one bit. A few times we got meals and ate in the car... it was more fun!

The patio will open at the country club and we’ll go down there but that’s about it.

Long day. They said they were gonna dial it back a bit at PT. MyFuckingAss. 1st 2 hr day in PT ever! Loved it. No pain, no gain. Seriously, I'm good, just sore in the right spots. My girl knows her shit as does my Doc. Balancing act continued, I cried. Not from pain, but because I can do it!!!
Anyway, time for some Pat Benatar and a few cocktails in the garage.
@Weirfan never made it to "The Pleasure Inn", couldn't find anyone to go with. You probably wouldn't like this dive. Big American Flag hanging in the entrance and a big sign that says, "For service, SPEAK ENGLISH!". Every time I go in, I tell Jim, it's a Pleasure!

4x steel wool and a very light oil works pretty good on light surface rust without seriously damaging the surrounding metal. Just for freckling though, if the rust spots are larger you'd need a coarser grade of steel wool to make much headway and then follow up with 4x to smooth it out. But coarser could also rub out any kind of beaded or frosted finish if there is one.

Picked the range again today. They went through over 8000 balls yesterday between 12 and 6. Now to powerwash a bit before I go to work tonite at indoor golf until 9. Get to do it all over again tomorrow!

Typhoon I hope the ranges here open soon. This weeks weather should melt the snow.

Typhoon For some reason most here won't open the range until they open the course. By my work, the snow is gone except for some piles still melting, but by my house our yards were still covered this morning. Today should melt a lot.

Typhoon Could be. For years most of the ranges here were fairly empty. Doubt they made that kind of money. Last year was crazy though. I rarely went to the range because you couldn't get a spot. In years past there might be a spike early in the year with the true golfers getting ready, but then the range would be empty unless there was a tournament. Surprised they didn't open this week. Most courses didn't open yet, but the crews are getting them ready so they could have opened the ranges. I wonder if the golf course "arrogance" is returning thanks to the pandemic spike they got last year?

We're planning a trip to Gatlinburg. Any recommendations for maybe some place better, or something must see. Wife loves the mountains and trees. We do a lot of virtual traveling via YouTube and she said the other night that Tennessee was prettier than the west coast, and to get her to say something like that is the equivalent of me saying I demand to get triple dosed with the COVID jabs. She's in awe of the majesty of Tennessee. What an underrated gem in so many ways.

Educate me on where to go there. We have 3 kids who are a good fit for Gatlinburg/Pigeon Forge stuff, but we also want Clingman's Dome and things like that, too.

Toulon We're planning a trip to Gatlinburg.

Only been there once and it was 20 years ago before kids, so the trip was more a couples getaway than a tourist trip. Rented a house up the mountain (Ober Gatlinburg area up Ski Mountain Road) a ways and did mostly what the wife wanted to do - which was go to several country music shows. They were very entertaining. Only things I can remember was eating at a nice pancake house one morning for breakfast, going to the Ripley's Believe It or Not, seeing and listening to Louise Mandrell put on a great show in Pigeon Forge, and enjoying a nice round of golf at the Gatlinburg Golf Course right across the road from Dollywood.

I spent a few hours with my puppy and dog at the boss's house.

I don't think he likes me much...
After that, I spent a few hours helping a friend fold boxes at her business, one less thing for her to do. Now she just has to pack the boxes with product and get ready to ship them out.
