LogicalOne Took a day of carry over PTO so I didnβt lose it and will spend the day fine-tuning the website. I have not built a website in about 15 years and I can honestly say I donβt ever remember it being this nerve racking! Lol! π
fatshot FauxAmish It's been snowing (light, but steady) here since late afternoon yesterday, but not a ton of snow on the ground. I would say 4-maybe 5 inches at the most right now. They're saying it isn't supposed to stop until overnight. So, I guess I'll hold off on snow removal until tomorrow. Luckily, being retired, there's nowhere we NEED to go.
Weirfan fatshot Luckily, being retired, there's nowhere we NEED to go. We have been in lockdown for almost a month and that is likely to continue for another. We are not allowed to go anywhere other than for essential needs , physical activity , etc. shovelling at least gives us something physical to do. Watching Netflix all day is damaging.....in a few years will be interesting to see the studies of the long term deleterious impacts of lockdowns.
johnnydoom Dreary and cold, but not quite freezing. Work and meetings involving the west coast that will take me well into the evening. Daughter finished her quarantine from close contact with an infected person without any symptoms and is back off to school today.
Walterjn Well today I get to go back to Thermal and drop off another horse. Today's trip will be with 'my' puppy going for the ride. Staying the night down there and sometime tomorrow I will be heading back.
sdandrea1 Windy Cloudy and cool today in FL. Not much going on. Gonna regrip some irons that are supposed to arrive today.
Mattyv Pics of my weekend yard work. Got all the new turf down and I got all of the old tuef installed around the pool. I am about 90% done with my winter project. Maybe another weekend or two of work left.
sdandrea1 Mattyv Looks awesome, Matty! What is the material that is under the turf and how is it secured?
fatshot I wasn't going to, but decided to go outside and crank up the snow blower. I got cabin fever, I guess, and just wanted to get outside and do SOMETHING! Spent about 45 minutes cleaning off the driveway, sidewalks, etc. Sure beats shoveling!!
Eguller fatshot Same here. Getting ready to deal with 10" or so of white stuff before dark. A bit more to come overnight. NOT AMUSED. π
Mattyv sdandrea1 Quarter minus material is under the turf. Very small crushed rock. It is secured with 5" nails every 2 feet. It also takes 1.5 to 2 lbs of silica sand per sqft that gets brushed in to it. The sand really weighs it down so it doesn't move. The sand also helps the blades stick up and look more natural.
