LBlack14 No worries! ๐ A little over a year ago I started having some weird things going on with my feet and lower legs. It progressed to the point where I could not even walk due to the swelling and pain. After about 6 weeks, several tests, several doctors and an opinion/diagnosis provided by Mayo Clinic, I was told that I had a neurological disorder. I guess it is an extreme case of peripheral neuropathy. Anyway, I am on a few different meds right now that is helping manage everything and I also need to do home physical therapy pretty much every day to help keep everything strengthened. Eventually they anticipate my hands/arms being impacted as well but Iโm trying to be as proactive as I can. I have a check in scheduled for the middle of January and we will probably look at altering the med types and dosages to see if we can make anything better. The reason I bought the golf cart that Iโve shown pictures of is because I canโt walk 9 holes even anymore, plus I have to where custom inserts in my shoes to help my feet become more โstableโ.
Sorry for the long story, but I will have to continue to take meds the rest of my life and these meds donโt seem to like alcohol at all. The weird thing is that initially things were fine with having a few, but as time went on, I was starting to have some pretty serious reactions, including blacking out while driving my golf cart home once. Fortunately someone was with me and nothing serious happened but I simply cannot take on the risk anymore. ๐
