Typhoon Well... weâre WAITING!â... Judge Smails
Keep in mind, the symptoms started as far back as my 1st follow-up after returning to work. Also the deformation of the detached tendon was brought to his attention not only by me, but by 2 other Drs this January.
He said I might have about 1/4 of the tendon attached and doing what it's supposed to be doing. The rest isn't attached at all, but rolled up. Said he's surprised I go to work every day and that I'm high risk for further injury in my condition. I'm very unstable and surprised I haven't fallen again, not to mention the pain. Anyhoo, surgery number 2 in the works. C9 form submitted and permission to release my medical records from one doc to the other submitted. Planning on December to reattach again.
I honestly think it's a hack job. The original surgeon would NOT acknowledge the repair site, even though I stressed it and they did an MRI and EMG. He blamed inflammation, the knee cap, questioned a nerve issue, wants to x-ray my hip and do an MRI on my lower back. This new guy did x-rays and a physical exam. He explained everything to a tee.
The one thing the 1st guy said that boggles my mind is, "the tendon looks perfect, the repair looks perfect, BUT, there's laxity in the tendon". Turns out, it wasn't even attached. I'm not happy and happy, all at the same time.
