sdandrea1 Rickochet Very pretty but any gators there? Oddly, no. We've never seen one in 8 years. It is a managed manatee sanctuary. The state watches it very closely. That day we were there is the last day that area pictured is open for entry. The manatee swim in from the gulf and breed in that spring-fed pool between 15 Nov and 15 March.

johnnydoom A campus tour with my son at the University of Alabama in Tuscaloosa and a meeting with the School of Engineering. Looks like it’s going to be a beautiful day to wander the campus, which is massive.
johnnydoom Rickochet ? I think he meant that they already took the plunge and so it’s too late now to worry about the gators. Looks like an amazing place.
