sdandrea1 Yeah, those can be tricky. I found the serial number in 4 locations, back of TV, on the box, in the settings "about TV" and also on the LG website under product registration where I could cut and paste....so I am feeling pretty good there.
After 2.5 hours on the phone, the Costco folks finally said they would elevate it to the customer relations resolution group. I got a $100 refund within an hour with no explanation whatsoever. I still want to yell at someone about 2.5 hours on the phone, so I am going to wait until Monday and try it all again.
