Par4QC So, how did this end up? Or, did the film crew take the weekend off.....there was a film crew, correct? Otherwise, it's all for nothing these days. π wives don't appreciate it as much as the viewing public on social media.
Range hood installed. As anticipated the "EZ one person installation" was a load of hooeey. I had to pass the attached 9" ducting through the hole in the wall while passing the wiring down through the top of the hood then mate it up to the wall cap mounted on the brick wall. With my wife's extra hands we got er' done. Making the rectangular hole in the brick wall was a real treat for this old geezer. The hammer drill and heavy hammer and brick chisel wore my ass out. If I had to swing that hammer all day I would soon be back to 270 yard drives. So, any who we now have a range hood that vents out side. It's a simple stainless hood with halogen lights. It vents out the back wall through a vent cap that has a nice tight damper and critter screen. I only drew blood right at the end while I was putting aluminum tape on the duct joints the sumbitch tape gave me a deep "paper" cut on my index finger. I bled like a stuck hog, of course.
