Today I went to a local driving range, they happed to have demo drivers. They let me take a Srixon ZX7 and a Callaway Paradym. Both were set to 9Β° or there abouts. My Srixon Z785 is set to 10.5.
Neither demo driver went any farther than mine, they were al about the same distance on good strikes. The ZX7 sounds really tinny and metallic. The Paradym sounded more muted, yet still louder than mine. The weights of both felt great. I don't think that I would be able to tell which one was which if I was blindfolded. I did notice that my setup was a little bit different with the Callaway than either Srixon. I had to have the ball a little further inside my left heel to hit straight shots, otherwise I hit a fade/ slice more often. The adjustable weight was slightly closer to the draw setting. Both Srixons were much easier for me to hit straight. I enjoyed hitting both for a bit, the top of the Paradym is beautiful, that blue carbon fiber crown looks great. The flat crown of the Srixon is much more muted and definitely nothing to write home about.
