Went out to use my milling machine and the x axis kept giving a error message. Spent about 4 hours taking the glass scale and reader head off. All the screws are tiny and the wires are not much bigger than a thread. Everything looked clean, but sprayed contact cleaner and wiped the scale with q tips. Put it back together, crossed my fingers, turned it on and it now works. Don't have to buy a new DRO.
