Par4QC Aluminum bars that I used to buy (100) or more at a time. 3/8 x 1 inch x 12 foot used to be under $15 a bar. Recent quote $45. Don't do the job anymore. Gets them from China. Sure wish I had that job. Could make good money on them.

I seem to be in repair mode a lot lately. In between paid work, I replaced the swivel/rocker mechanism on one of the kitchen chairs (they roll around, swivel, and rock back like office chairs) after the plate broke earlier this week. Almost dumped me out on my back. Since these are over 25 years old I was surprised to find the direct replacement part. Ordered a flush kit for the hall bathroom since the float valve sticks once every couple of days and runs until I take the lid off the tank and jiggle the float. Ordered a motor assembly for my wife's rocker/power recliner. The old motor is good, but there's a problem in the wiring harness that is beneath a bunch of overmolded stuff on the cable. Going to order a couple more mechanisms for the kitchen chairs while they are still available since I can tell one of the other four chairs also has a crack halfway though the plate. Wanted to make sure the one I got today fit before ordering more.

Power washed the parking lot curbs at church this morning. They were black with mildew.
Drove 40 minutes to have lunch with @brownmoose13. Great time, always good to yuck it up with Mr. Mooney!

SWMBO and I went to see a Chicago tribute band tonight. They covered it all from the first album to the last. Very talented group of guys. Beginnings!

You say 'recent quote' of $45. I say I can get for $12.39......and if I buy 100 pcs. they would only be $2.05 each. 100/$205.

Had some snow overnight so I’m not going in, we don’t have too. Best thing about pussification… 👍

Not much snow but I went on the deck and it’s back breaking because it’s so wet. Everyone’s snowblowers are clogging. This could be an all day project.

I went for my bloodwork today, the first time under Medicare. Among the tests was a PSA test. Apparently the Doctor coded it wrong and they said Medicare wouldn't cover it and it would cost $148. So I passed on that so I could contact my Doctor. So I'll have to go back and get more blood drawn.

I looked on my insurance claim from last year (when I was still covered under regular insurance) and the lab billed $135 and it was discounted to $13. It's ridiculous that people without insurance have to pay so much more. If the had only charged me $20 or so I probably would have just paid it to avoid having to go back.
