Boring times so maybe a highlight or 2. Usual hour workout at 9 am. Went out and swing the Superspeed clubs and my driver .

Typhoon Maybe you'll find that the people you work with are good, and that makes all of the difference. I can tolerate almost any kind of work, it's just the people I have to associate with that makes the work sour. It took me a long time, but I finally learned after a while to move to something new when the people around me start stressing me out with their politics and/or incompetence. Been really lucky for the past 15 years to work with people that I don't really fit in with, but that are tolerant of my style.

I've been outside most of the afternoon working on removing snow from my driveways and sidewalks. We got
about 7 inches of snow yesterday/last night and another 7+ inches this morning and early this afternoon. It was
deep enough that it made my little John Deer tractor with the snowblower work very hard. I hope my traction
drive belt holds out. I noticed that it had a couple of cuts in it when I was changing the belt for the snowblower attachment. It looks like it may be more difficult to replace that one. I got a little over half done with snow cleanup
before I decided to call it a day. It's still snowing lightly anyhow. I'll be back out tomorrow to finish up.

mulegolf Changing the drive belt on my Deere Tractor was a bitch. The routing…. I actually had to go to my neighbors house, look at his and draw a diagram of the belt and pulleys. It sucks. You might want to draw up a diagram of the routing incase it breaks.

colej Hard to find a buyer for that size material. Larger sizes of any material can always be cut down to a size someone needs, with 3/8 thick you are pretty limited.

I usually take a picture or two before starting the job for just that reason. My main concern it how to get at it.
It looks like there isn't much room for your hands to get the belt off and the new one back on. My wife says maybe I should just pay the price to have our local John Deere shop do it. I don't really like that idea because they are very
expensive. It would cost 3-5 times the cost of the belt just for labor.

Just drove 2 hours to meet up with another new guy and my boss ( who I’ve known for years). Depressing city out here, Walmart parking lot. If the govt wants to test a hydrogen bomb they should do it here.

Well, in about 2 hours I'll be starting a temporary and part time job.
The one the boss kinda set up is needing me on the 14th to haul horses to a local show. Another friend has me in touch with someone who is looking for a hauler on the 9th. Only problem is both need me on the 15th, and I've already committed to the one needing me on the 14th.
Today, well today I get to go work in the rain at my little golf course. Most likely not getting paid anything for this, however free golf is a good thing.... I'll be able to play more often than I have been.
It's quite windy out right now, and yesterday afternoon the sheriff's office had their helicopter out flying over the riverbed telling everyone to get to higher ground for the next few days. Supposed to be a doozy of a storm....

Walterjn legally, they can't have a person "work", without being on payroll. Liabilities involved. Although California's bizzarro world/back assward anyway.

Springfield, Chicopee, Westfield. If I went to the right at the split I’d have been CT bound. Having never spent much time in a Walmart I’m convinced if I held my camera up over my head and kept the shutter down, 16 out of the 20 pics would make it to the “people of Walmart” website.

Unbelievably depressing places. Shelves are half empty, the people … my God I can honestly say i didn’t see one “normal” person… not one person that I either had to look twice at, or just stare it for a minute. The people driving in the parking lot…. Seemed to mirror what was coming in and out. I’m sort of shaken by seeing that all day. I can see maybe seeing a few f ups during the day but this was like the freak show at the Brockton Fair.

mulegolf it wasn’t easy to do. Had to take off a bracket, loosen a guide too if I remember correctly. I’d rather have someone else do it but I don’t have a way to get it to the shop a mile or so away. Suppose I could ride it there like “The Waterboy”!

Gotta buy a tune up/oil change kit from John Deere for next year. I’ve had mine since 1998 and have changed the oil maybe 3 times. Last year some old gas really messed it up. I changed out the fuel filter and the 2 plugs but I’ll do it again when I get the kit.

I'm sitting on my dead ass at the tire store getting a nail removed. Been a fucking hour.

Edited: I called and was told if I could get there in 10 mins. he said he would get me "in and out." In and out took 2 hours. I would hate for him to tell me that it is going to take awhile. Cramped waiting area that was hot with hard ass plastic chairs. I think I would rather pick up dog poop at Typhoon's house.

had a BOGO deal in honor of Spaghetti Day! Great meal!

No ethnic connection, but was always my favorite meal as made by my Irish mother with pepperoni sauce. Still one of my favorites, but I can’t make it like Mom used to.

We cooked at home. Outstanding recipe with hot Italian sausage, ground beef, Rotel Tomatoes. Garlic toast. Yum!!

We used to have one of those in downtown Memphis, but it disappeared in the pandemic. It was a good place to meet and eat.
