Sparky I’m so much more comfortable with irons 1/2” short. I’m 5’5” now and when I was 5’7” I measured for shorter clubs.
The demo iron I hit with the -1/2” shaft didn’t give me any distance loss… everything was the same it just felt like I could “go after it harder”. Just watch the swingweight. With the steel KBS Tour 120 I was fine but I shortened a Recoil Es 780 and the swingweight was like a c-5 and it was awful to swing.
I think if I ever get a set of clubs that I’ll go -1/2”… I ain’t growing 🙄
